If Supermarket Simulator keeps closing or hanging on a Windows PC, start with low-risk checks: confirm your PC meets the game’s requirements, restart Windows and Steam, update the game, and verify its files in Steam. If the whole computer freezes, restarts, or powers off, treat that as a system-stability problem—not just a game crash. No single fix is established for every cause.

Restart, update, and reduce conflicts
- Close Steam and restart Windows, then reopen Steam and launch the game.
- Install available updates for the game and Windows.
- If the issue began while an overlay or other background app was active, close that app temporarily and test again. Change one thing at a time so you can tell whether it made a difference.
Verify the installed game files in Steam
- In your Steam Library, right-click Supermarket Simulator and select Properties.
- Open Installed Files, then select Verify integrity of game files.
- Wait for Steam to finish and test the game again.
If you recently changed a mod, graphics setting, overlay, or performance-tuning setting, undo that change individually and retest before trying another adjustment.
Test display settings cautiously
One player reported that enabling V-Sync and setting a 60 FPS cap stopped their crashes. That is an individual report, not a confirmed fix for other PCs. Do not delete a save without a backup
A 2024 forum user reported that deleting a save helped in their case, but deleting it can remove progress. Try the reversible checks first. If you decide to investigate the save, back it up before changing or removing anything.
The user-submitted thread gave this possible save location: C:UsersUsernameAppDataLocalLowNokta GamesSupermarket SimulatorSaveFile.es3. Replace Username with the relevant Windows account name, and confirm that the file and location apply to your installation before touching it. If Windows itself freezes or restarts
For a system-level failure, note the exact time and any error shown. Check Windows Reliability Monitor or Event Viewer for entries around that time. Those records can help identify what Windows logged, but the failure should not automatically be attributed to Supermarket Simulator. If the PC repeatedly powers off or restarts, seek qualified PC support.
Do not turn off antivirus or firewall protection as a routine crash fix. A community user blamed firewall blocking for their own issue, but that report does not establish a generally safe or necessary change. If you are specifically investigating a network-permission issue, limit any exception to the game and restore the original setting if it does not help.

Include your Windows version, PC specifications, game version, exact error text, when the crash happens, and the steps you have already tried. Steam lists Nokta Games as the developer and publisher and provides this support email. Check the Steam store listing.
