Start by identifying which problem you have: a crash or poor performance, trouble connecting to online services, or progress/content missing after a platform change. Ubisoft directs each issue to a different troubleshooting path, so the right next step depends on your platform and when the problem occurs.
First, identify the failure
Note your platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox), what you were doing when the problem began, and any error text or code. Separate a game that will not launch from one that crashes during play or runs at low frame rates; treat an inability to reach online services as a connection issue, not a crash.

- Crash or low performance: use Ubisoft’s general troubleshooting guide.
- Online connection error: use Ubisoft’s The Crew Motorfest connectivity guide.
- Missing progress or content after switching platforms: check the Ubisoft account linked to the game, then determine whether the particular content is shared across platforms.
The linked guides are Ubisoft’s platform-specific instructions; follow the steps shown there for your system rather than applying fixes intended for a different platform.
If The Crew Motorfest crashes or runs poorly
Ubisoft separates crashes and low frame rates from online connectivity issues and directs players to its general technical troubleshooting guide. Use that guide for your platform and symptom. The support page does not establish one universal fix for launch crashes, in-game crashes, or poor performance, so do not assume that a network change or reinstall is the appropriate remedy.

PC performance support cases
If you contact Ubisoft about a PC performance problem, Ubisoft asks for current DxDiag and MSInfo reports. Include them with a clear description of when the slowdown or crash occurs, along with any error message.
If you cannot connect to online services
Use Ubisoft’s Motorfest connectivity troubleshooting guide for the relevant platform. If the problem continues after following its instructions, contact Ubisoft Support.

- With the return of classic cars, iconic tracks, and fan-favourite modes like GT Simulation and Sport Mode - Gran Turismo 7 is the complete Real Driving Simulator, 25 years in the making.
- Find your line. Whether you're a racer, collector, tuner, designer, photographer or arcade fan - immerse yourself in the facets of automotive culture that matter most to you.
- Connect and compete. Join an international community of drivers to share race strategies, tuning tips, livery designs and photos, before taking to the track to go head-to-head.
A connection error by itself does not establish that Ubisoft’s servers are down. Check current service information through Ubisoft before concluding there is an outage; live server status is not established here.
If progress or content is missing after changing platforms
Confirm the Ubisoft account
Make sure the new platform is using the same Ubisoft account as the one associated with your previous progress. A different account can make saved progress or eligible shared content appear absent.

Check whether the specific content is shared
Ubisoft says, “The Crew Motorfest supports automatic cross-progression between all platforms.” Its support article qualifies that only some in-game content is shared. Cross-progression therefore does not mean every purchase, item, or entitlement transfers. If the account is correct but a particular purchase or item is still missing, ask Ubisoft Support to check that entitlement rather than assuming it is included in cross-progression.
Check whether a recent update addressed the issue
Ubisoft’s Season 11 patch notes, dated October 7, 2026, list fixes for several crash issues, disconnections with the error MISHAP_FLICKERING-LIGHT_289 after completing challenges, an Xbox Series error message after internet loss in the main menu, and a missing reward pop-up. A listed fix does not guarantee that it resolves every player’s similar symptom.
