If a visual or accessibility setting in Marvel’s Wolverine seems to revert, first update the game and your PS5, then quit and relaunch and check the exact option again. Insomniac’s current patch notes document fixes for some accessibility behavior and other bugs, but do not identify settings reverting after a restart as a known issue or provide a setting-specific fix. Treat the steps below as diagnostics, not a guaranteed repair.
Update the game and PS5 first
Insomniac’s October 1, 2026 Update 1.002.000 notes say the patch fixed several accessibility issues, including Navigation Assist, Lock-On, High Contrast, and Screen Reader behavior, and addressed some crashes and bugs. Its October 6, 2026 Update 1.002.001 notes add a toggle for story-related Scent trails and mention additional reported bugs and crashes. These updates show that the game has received fixes, but neither note says it addresses settings that revert after closing the game.
Install any available game update and check that PS5 system software is current. Insomniac’s general support guidance recommends updating both before seeking help.
Check whether the setting actually reverted
- Write down the setting’s exact name and the value you selected.
- Quit and relaunch the game, then return to the same option and check its displayed value. This is a conservative diagnostic based on Insomniac’s general support guidance; it is not documented as a specific fix for settings persistence.
- Note whether the value changes when you return to a menu, only after closing and reopening the game, or at another point. This distinction can help describe the issue, but official sources do not establish it as a known cause.
Marvel’s Wolverine is a PS5 game, and its official feature information describes visual and accessibility options. Insomniac’s accessibility options list includes Fullscreen Effects, Motion Blur, Film Grain, Chromatic Aberration, Depth of Field, Camera Shake, camera controls, visual assists, and High Contrast settings. Confirm the exact option you changed before troubleshooting: a setting may still show your chosen value even when its visual effect is subtle or difficult to notice.

If the selected value stays but the visual result seems unchanged
Revisit the option itself and confirm its current value rather than relying only on how the scene looks. Consider what the option controls: the listed settings affect different parts of the presentation, and the result may not be obvious in every scene. Insomniac’s feature descriptions explain the available controls, but do not establish that a particular scene should visibly demonstrate each one.
If the same setting keeps reverting
Record the information below before contacting support. A precise report is more useful than saying only that “settings don’t save.”

- The exact setting name and the value you selected.
- Whether the value changes on returning to a menu or only after quitting and relaunching.
- The game version shown on your PS5.
- Whether you closed the game normally and what you saw when you checked the option again.
Then contact Insomniac support using its ticket-submission guidance. That page also gives general suggestions such as reloading a previous checkpoint or using an auto-backup save for persistent game issues. Those are not documented as remedies for a setting that fails to persist, so do not treat them as a confirmed fix for this problem. The official guidance reviewed does not specify how individual settings are committed or confirm a settings-persistence defect.
