How Trials scoring and extraction work
Embark’s official Season 3 Trials explainer gives general scoring thresholds of 1,000 points for one star, 2,500 for two stars, and 4,000 for three stars on a Trial. It also says progress must be earned within a single raid and is lost on death. Extract safely with Trial progress to earn the rewards.

That means the safest useful route is usually better than an ambitious detour: once you have enough score, focus on getting out. These are general Trials mechanics from Season 3, not an official chart of Season 2 Week 3 objectives.

The five objectives and route suggestions below come from AltChar’s guide, published January 6, 2026. Its target counts and location tips are recommendations, not official scoring rules.

Damage Snitches
AltChar estimates that destroying roughly eight or nine Snitches should earn a good score toward three stars. The guide does not give an official points-per-Snitch value, so use that number as a route estimate rather than a guaranteed threshold.
Throw snowballs at Bastions
During Cold Snap, collect about 20 snowballs, then enter Hidden Bunker mode and head toward the Departure building. AltChar reports a Bastion near the gate there; throw the snowballs at it. Both the suggested count and location come from the guide.
Damage Bastions
AltChar reports that this Trial requires 4,000 points and that fully destroying a Bastion yields 4,500 points. Its suggested fast route is Buried City Night Raid with three Wolfpack grenades. Those enemy-specific points and the grenade recommendation are not confirmed by Embark’s general Trials explainer.

Search Supply Drops
AltChar recommends Spaceport and searching at least three drops. Activate call stations and search the drops after they land; the guide says drops called by other players can count as well. It favors solo play over duos or trios because of expected competition, but that is advice, not a guarantee that solo runs will be uncontested.
Harvest plants
AltChar recommends playing Cold Snap on Spaceport or Buried City. On Spaceport, look for Great Mullein near Trench Towers. On Buried City, try the Galleria point of interest near Hospital and Space Travel. These are guide-reported locations.

Each objective has a different risk profile: some depend on finding a particular enemy or item, while Supply Drops and named plant locations can draw other players or require movement across the map. Plan around what you can reach and complete in one raid, and leave time to extract. Since death erases that raid’s accumulated Trial progress, avoid an extra fight or distant target if you have already reached the score you need.
