In Calamity, get a Depth Meter by killing enemies that drop it. Listed bats have a 1% drop chance; Crawdads, Giant Shellies, and Salamanders have a 1.25% chance on desktop, console, and mobile Terraria. The official Calamity recipe lists do not include a Depth Meter recipe, so the documented way to obtain one is to farm these enemies.

Can you craft a Depth Meter in Calamity?
The Calamity Mod Wiki’s vanilla-item crafting list and recipe list do not list a Depth Meter recipe. The Terraria item page says the Depth Meter became a drop rather than a craftable item in Desktop 1.2 and lists enemy drops as its current acquisition method. This is the documented route; it does not establish that every Calamity version or configuration has been independently checked.
