The five pets tied to Grow a Garden’s 2025 Corrupted Zen update came from three routes: Kitsune Chests, Corrupt Channeler rewards, and the Zen Shop. Those routes belong to a past event, not a guarantee of current availability: the Corrupted update launched as version 1.16.0 on July 26, 2025, and the Zen event was reported to run through August 2, 2025. Check the live game before trying to follow these historical steps.
Which pets were part of the Corrupted Zen update?

How did you get the Kitsune Chest pets?
During the event, players submitted five Corrupt-mutated plants and five Tranquil-mutated plants to the Kitsune NPC to earn a Kitsune Chest. The chest was the reported route for Corrupted Kitsune, Maneki-neko, and Kodama. Guides disagree on chest odds, so there is no reliable single drop rate to treat as definitive.

How was Corrupted Kodama obtained?
Corrupted Kodama was listed among the Corrupt Channeler’s event rewards. Players fulfilled the Channeler’s requests—guides describe requests for crops or Sheckles—to advance corruption and earn rewards. The exact reward odds are disputed among guides, so a percentage should not be treated as a confirmed rate.
