To collect the Gwent cards found in the Skellige Isles in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, buy cards from the island innkeepers, complete Gwent: Skellige Style and Shock Therapy, then win against ordinary Gwent players until the random-card pool is empty. Track progress in A Miraculous Guide to Gwent. Buy from the Arinbjorn innkeeper early: that shop may become unavailable later in the story.

There is a second meaning for “Skellige cards”: the Skellige faction deck added with Blood and Wine. That is a separate expansion collection associated with Toussaint, not the cards you find while exploring the Skellige Isles.

What counts as “all the Skellige cards”?

The regional Skellige Isles collection includes cards from multiple Gwent factions; it is defined by where cards are acquired, not by faction. The Skellige faction deck is different: it is expansion content associated with Toussaint. The official CD PROJEKT RED Blood and Wine page describes the expansion, while a regional guide places the faction-deck collection in Toussaint.

The named shops and timing warning come from an unofficial regional card guide. If you have already completed later story events, check whether the Arinbjorn innkeeper is still accessible; the guide does not establish a recovery route if the shop is gone.

Complete the Skellige Gwent quests

Gwent: Skellige Style

Challenge the named opponents associated with this quest. The regional guide lists Crach an Craite, Ermion, Sjusta, Madman Lugos, and Gremist among the card-winning sources. Gremist becomes available after the related alchemy-practice quest; challenge Madman Lugos while he is alive.

Shock Therapy

Complete Shock Therapy to receive Iorveth as a quest reward. This is a reward, not a card to search for at an innkeeper.

Win against ordinary Gwent players for the remaining cards

Cards awarded for ordinary player wins come from a shared pool. A first win against an ordinary player can award a new card while cards remain in that pool; beating the same person again does not award another new card. When the pool is empty, further random matches do not complete the collection.

That means a missing card from the ordinary-player pool is not assigned to one specific merchant, blacksmith, or other NPC. Play opponents you have not beaten yet rather than repeatedly revisiting one person to chase a particular card.

Use the guidebook to find the kind of source still missing

A Miraculous Guide to Gwent shows how many cards remain by region and quest-related source. It does not identify which individual ordinary NPC will award a particular card from the shared pool.

  1. Open A Miraculous Guide to Gwent and check the Skellige regional count and quest-related source counts.
  2. If it indicates cards remain from players, seek out ordinary Gwent opponents you have not beaten.
  3. If the player pool is empty but Skellige is incomplete, revisit the five innkeeper shops and check the named quest rewards, especially Gwent: Skellige Style and Shock Therapy.
  4. If you have not checked Arinbjorn, do so before later lighthouse and Madman Lugos events can make the shop unavailable.

An unofficial Fandom search-result excerpt gives 28 as the number of cards associated with Skellige Isles, but that figure is lower-confidence context. For your save, use the in-game book’s regional count rather than treating 28 as an official developer total.

Does this complete the Card Collector achievement?

Not necessarily. Collect ‘Em All concerns the base-game collection, and some cards outside Skellige can be permanently missed if their conditions are skipped. A separate quest guide warns in particular about the Vegelbud tournament during A Matter of Life and Death and the High Stakes tournament. Completing the Skellige regional collection alone does not establish that every base-game card has been collected.
