How to use a Repair Kit
Repair Kits restore durability to weapons that stay in your inventory. Game8’s December 8, 2024 guide describes one method: select the broken weapon in the inventory and use the displayed interaction prompt. Bethesda’s Update 3 note documents a second method: select the Repair Kit directly from the inventory instead.
- Open your inventory.
- Select the broken weapon and use the repair prompt, or select the Repair Kit directly.
- Follow the on-screen prompt to confirm the repair.
Game8 lists E on keyboard and X on controller for selecting the broken weapon. Controls can vary by platform or remapping, so use the prompt shown in your game if those inputs do not match. The direct Repair Kit selection is documented in Bethesda’s Update 3 notes.
Which weapons can be repaired?
Repair Kits are for broken weapons retained in your inventory, such as disguise weapons and Indy’s revolver. Game8 says weapons picked up in the world do not persist in the same way and cannot be repaired with a kit. In practice, select the persistent broken weapon or use the kit directly; do not expect a kit to repair any temporary melee weapon you pick up.

Where to find Repair Kits
Search enemy camps first
Game8 recommends checking enemy-heavy areas, particularly military tents, boxes, and other containers. This is a useful starting point when you need a kit but are not following a specific pickup route.
Use region maps for exact pickups
The Guides4Gamers Repair Kits map index covers the Vatican, Rome, and Gizeh. Its listed examples include crates near a zipline, crates in an underground area by the Underground Boxing Ring, scaffolding, and a small room on the Apostolic Palace’s second floor. These are examples rather than a complete list; consult the map for its other markers and routes.

The revolver can take damage when used repeatedly as a melee weapon. Xbox Wire’s December 5, 2024 starting tips warn that it can bend after a handful of melee hits and say Repair Kits can fix it. If you use the handgun to strike enemies, keep an eye on its condition and repair it when it breaks.
