It granted a recharging dash with up to three charges. That event window has passed, and the available official information does not confirm whether the medallion has returned, so these are historical instructions—not proof that you can get it now.
How to get the Godzilla Medallion in Fortnite
During the event, a portal could appear in the Battle Royale match. The first player to enter became Godzilla; the other players could attack the titan. The player who dealt the most damage received the Godzilla Medallion and an exotic Burst Quad Launcher, according to Epic Games’ January 16, 2025 announcement.
- Find the portal. Epic said portals could start appearing on the Battle Royale map with Fortnite v33.20, beginning January 17, 2025.
- Attack Godzilla. Aim for weak spots when possible: Epic said hits there dealt extra damage and knocked off Godzilla Fragments.
- Keep track of your damage. An event-era ONE Esports guide says a bar at the top of the screen showed damage dealt. It recommends the Rail Gun and targeting weak points as tactics, not as an official requirement or guaranteed method.
- Deal the most damage. The medallion went to the player with the highest damage against Godzilla. Epic did not specify a minimum damage threshold in its announcement.
Godzilla Fragments were a separate pickup: Epic said consuming one granted 40 Health and three dash charges. They did not substitute for winning the damage contest for the medallion.
What does the Godzilla Medallion do?
Epic described the medallion as granting a dash ability that recharged and could hold up to three charges at a time. The award also included the exotic Burst Quad Launcher. The medallion’s dash is distinct from the three charges provided by consuming a Godzilla Fragment.

How do I use the Godzilla Medallion?
A January 17, 2025 Siliconera guide says to double-jump to trigger the dash. The same guide reports that the medallion did not occupy an inventory slot, could be dropped from the Backpack, and dropped when its holder was eliminated. Those are contemporary guide details; if the item returns, its input and handling may differ.

Epic’s announcement tied the Godzilla encounter to the event introduced with v33.20 and said the related Chapter 6 Season 1: 鬼 HUNTERS Battle Pass quests could be completed until February 21, 2025, at 2 AM ET. That date has passed. The announcement does not establish whether the medallion has returned in a later Fortnite event, so current availability is unconfirmed.
