The listed bundle offer ended September 9, 2026, so it is not currently available under that offer. Epic has not announced when either Outfit will return; check the official Item Shop listing or the in-game shop for a live listing.
How Kong and Mechagodzilla were originally sold
Epic announced that the Mechagodzilla & Kong Bundle would enter the Item Shop after 7 PM ET on January 16, 2025. At launch, players could also buy each Outfit separately. Epic’s announcement lists the contents:
- Mechagodzilla Outfit, which is reactive, with Proton Exo-Boosters Back Bling.
- Kong Outfit with B.E.A.S.T. Armorplate Back Bling.
- Proton Drill Pickaxe and Kong’s Battle Axe Pickaxe.
- Roar Power Wrap and Cybernetic Scream Wrap.
- B.E.A.S.T. Glove Emote.
Epic’s offer page listed the bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks, reduced from a displayed original price of 6,300 V-Bucks. That was the historical offer price, not a current or promised price if the items return. The offer page gives an end time of September 9, 2026 at 12:00 AM local time (GMT+00:00). See Epic’s offer listing.
How to check whether the skins are available now
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop, or check the official web Item Shop.
- Look for Kong, Mechagodzilla, or the Mechagodzilla & Kong Bundle. If a listing appears, review the current price, included cosmetics, and offer end time shown in the shop before buying.
- If there is no listing, check again later. Epic says the shop rotates and unavailable items may return, but it has not given a return date or guarantee for these Outfits. Epic Support cannot grant an item that is not in the Shop. Epic’s Item Shop return guidance.
Can you buy Kong or Mechagodzilla without the bundle?
Yes, when Epic first released them, each Outfit was also available individually. The Mechagodzilla Outfit came with Proton Exo-Boosters; Kong came with B.E.A.S.T. Armorplate. If they return, check the live shop for individual Outfit listings and their current prices rather than assuming the old bundle offer or price applies. Epic’s announcement confirms the original individual offers: Become Godzilla in Fortnite Battle Royale!

Kong and Mechagodzilla are not Godzilla’s Battle Pass reward
Do not confuse these Item Shop Outfits with Godzilla Evolved. That was a separate Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass quest reward. Epic said Battle Pass owners could unlock it through quests beginning January 17, 2025; the quest window ended February 21, 2025 at 2 AM ET. The quest reward was not a way to unlock Kong or Mechagodzilla. Epic’s announcement.
Epic’s current general guidance says eligible Battle Pass items released after August 7, 2024 may become available in the Item Shop at least 18 months after their pass expires, with no guarantee. That policy concerns eligible Battle Pass items; it does not set a return date for the Kong or Mechagodzilla Item Shop Outfits. Epic Support’s return policy.

Will the Godzilla x Kong vehicle bundle unlock the skins?
No. Epic also announced a separate Nissan Skyline GT-R | Godzilla x Kong vehicle bundle. Its animated Godzilla, Kong, Godzilla Evolved, and Mechagodzilla decals were for the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Car Body. Those are vehicle cosmetics, not character Outfits. Epic’s announcement.

No. V-Bucks and Fortnite gift cards provide funds or currency for eligible purchases; they do not unlock an Outfit that is absent from the Item Shop. Epic says V-Bucks cards can be redeemed for V-Bucks used on Fortnite items such as Outfits, while Fortnite gift cards add funds to an Epic account for V-Bucks and other eligible purchases. Check the card type, country or region, and redemption directions before buying: Epic is rolling out Fortnite gift cards as replacements for V-Bucks cards, while older V-Bucks cards may remain available in some listed countries. What to compare if the Outfits return
- Whether Kong or Mechagodzilla is listed individually, or only as part of the bundle.
- Which associated Back Bling and other cosmetics you actually want.
- The current in-game V-Bucks price and the displayed offer end time.
- Whether the listing is visible in the official Item Shop. The old 2,800 V-Bucks bundle price is historical, not a reliable guide to a future offer.
