The most dependable way to get more Armor Spheres in Monster Hunter Wilds is to hunt monsters, then take spare materials to Roqul at the Smelting Foundry in Azuz and smelt them into spheres. Quests also award spheres, while event quests and villager trades can provide situational alternatives.
What Armor Spheres do
Armor Spheres reinforce crafted armor and increase its defense. At the forge, select an armor piece and use its upgrade menu to apply spheres. They are separate from the Armorcharm, a different item kept in your pouch.
Smelt spare monster materials in Azuz
Once the Smelting Foundry is available, talk to Roqul in Azuz and choose the Armor Sphere smelting option. You can turn spare monster parts into spheres; according to PlayStation’s endgame guide, Roqul can smelt monster parts into Armor Spheres for reinforcing armor. A secondary guide reports that rarer materials provide more smelting points.
This makes smelting a practical repeatable loop: hunt, keep materials you do not need for crafting, and exchange suitable spares for upgrade resources. Check the displayed point value and sphere result before confirming, especially if a material may be useful for equipment.

Earn Armor Spheres from hunts and quests
Hunt and quest rewards can include Armor Spheres. PC Gamer’s guide reports that sphere rewards begin around the Uth Duna encounter in Chapter 1-5 and that higher-star quests generally offer higher sphere tiers. Its listed star-rating breakpoints are secondary-source guidance and may change with game updates, so check the reward preview in your current game rather than treating them as fixed rules.

Some Event Quests offer Armor Spheres. The event listing for current Monster Hunter Wilds event quests describes “Careening Out of Control,” a Balahara hunt with HR 2+ access, as rewarding Armor Spheres and Armor Sphere+. Event rotations change, so open the in-game Event Quests menu and confirm both availability and rewards before planning a farm around one.
Use villager trades only when they make sense
Villagers may occasionally offer Armor Spheres. PC Gamer reports that Gawdygog at the Wudwud Hideout trades spheres for Wyvern Coins, but recommends saving those coins for more valuable items. Treat this as a fallback when the trade suits your needs, not the default way to replenish spheres.
