How to unlock Artian weapon forging
Progress through the main story and complete Chapter 4’s “Wyvern Sparks and Rose Thorns.” This unlocks Artian weapon forging at Gemma’s Smithy, as described in the PlayStation endgame guide.
How to forge an Artian weapon
- Collect three Artian parts. The categories are Blade, Device, Disc, and Tube; the required combination depends on the weapon class. All three parts must be the same rarity.
- At Gemma’s Smithy, choose the Artian forging option, select a weapon type, and fill its recipe with compatible parts.
- Review the weapon preview before confirming. Parts affect the resulting weapon’s element and Attack or Affinity stats.

High Rank Tempered Investigations
High Rank Tempered Monster Investigations are a documented source of Artian parts. Mobalytics reports that Tempered Apex Investigations can reward Rarity 8 parts, but rewards can vary with game updates. Check the rewards displayed for the specific investigation before hunting; a complete current drop table and verified drop rates are not established.
Meld Relics in Suja

Smelting and reinforcement materials
Roqul in Azuz can smelt excess monster parts and decorations into ore used for Artian weapons. The official guide also describes obtaining reinforcement materials through Nata or Roqul via Festival Shares. These are separate from the investigation and melding routes for acquiring parts.
How part choices affect the weapon
Each part has an element type and an infusion type: Attack or Affinity. Use at least two parts with the element you want to guarantee that element on the weapon; using three parts of the same element further increases its element stat. Attack Infusion or Affinity Infusion raises the corresponding stat.
There is no single best combination for every build. Recipes vary by weapon class, so use the Smithy’s weapon preview to compare the stats produced by compatible parts and choose for your intended element and Attack or Affinity preference.
How to reinforce or dismantle Artian weapons
At Gemma’s Smithy, choose “Reinforce/Dismantle Artian Weapons” and spend reinforcement materials to improve a weapon. The official guide says a weapon can receive up to five reinforcement bonuses.

Dismantling refunds the reinforcement materials invested, but not the Artian parts used to forge the weapon. Consider that part cost before dismantling.
Rarity 8 layered appearance
Capcom’s Title Update 2 announcement says a Rarity 8 Artian weapon must be fully reinforced to unlock its layered appearance.

Gogma Artian Weapons are an additional system beyond basic Artian forging. Capcom’s Title Update 4 announcement, dated December 16, 2025, says the repeatable Gogmazios event quest becomes available after clearing the Gogmazios extra mission at HR 100 or above. The quest awards material required to produce Gogma Artian Weapons. Event availability and quest details can change, so check the current in-game quest information.
