You can’t join the Battlefield 6 Open Beta now: its final scheduled session ended on August 18, 2025. The old routes—Battlefield Labs eligibility, creator-stream promotions, and the public weekends—were limited to those event dates, so an old code or beta client will not restore access.
Can I still play the Battlefield 6 Open Beta?
No. EA scheduled the Open Beta for two public weekends in August 2025, with Early Access on August 7–8. The second public weekend ended August 18, 2025. EA has not established in the sources cited here whether it will announce another beta; the dates above describe the completed event, not future availability. EA’s July 31, 2025 announcement has the original schedule.
EA separately listed a Battlefield 6 free trial for August 18–25, 2026. That was not the Open Beta, and those trial dates have also passed. EA’s product page describes that separate offer.
How early access worked during the 2025 beta
Early Access began August 7, 2025, before the public weekends. EA offered two routes:

#1 Best Overall
- Battlefield 6 Standard Edition (disc) for XBOX Series X contains the full game
- All-out war, fast-paced close-quarters combat, tactical destruction - Welcome to the definitive Battlefield experience
- THE NEW STANDARD OF FPS COMBAT: With overhauled gunplay and tactical movement, from crouch sprint to drag and revive, every shot and movement is more instinctual and precise
- MORE WAYS TO BATTLE: Victory, however you envision it; Seize glory in iconic, large-scale modes including Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush; Fight in iconic locations all over the world including Cairo, Brooklyn, Gibraltar and more
- ICONIC ALL-OUT WARFARE: Wage all-out war with infantry and vehicle combat, class-based squad play, and cutting edge audiovisual immersion; Where fighter jets, tanks, skydiving RPGS, heavy artillery, and high-intensity infantry combat become one
- Battlefield Labs: People who had signed up for Battlefield Labs before July 31, 2025 could use Early Access without a code. EA instructed them to sign in with the same EA Account they used for Labs.
- Creator streams: People who had not signed up for Labs could watch select creators during EA’s July 31, 2025 reveal streams on Twitch for a chance to unlock Early Access. This was a time-limited event promotion, not an ongoing way to get in.
Those eligibility routes applied only to the scheduled 2025 event. EA’s Open Beta announcement and code redemption help page describe the original arrangements.
Did the public beta weekends require a code?
No code was needed for the public weekends. EA described them as “No code needed, available to anyone.” That applied to the announced public sessions, not to an indefinite beta: Weekend 1 ran August 9 at 08:00 UTC through August 11 at 08:00 UTC, and Weekend 2 ran August 14 at 08:00 UTC through August 18 at 08:00 UTC. The separate Early Access period began August 7 at 08:00 UTC. All times and dates are from EA’s schedule.

How code redemption worked at the time
For a valid Early Access key during the event, EA Help instructed players to sign in to their EA Account, redeem the key, and link their platform account. EA said an Early Access key worked on any platform linked to that EA Account. These were historical setup steps; redeeming an old key now cannot reopen the completed beta. See EA Help’s code redemption instructions.
Which platforms hosted the beta?
The 2025 Open Beta was available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, or the EA app. EA listed preloading from August 4, 2025 at 15:00 UTC. The beta’s platform list and preload timing appear in EA’s Open Beta guide.

Did Battlefield 6 require Secure Boot?
EA required Secure Boot to play the Open Beta on PC; the beta announcement does not state that it was required on console. EA’s current FAQ describes Secure Boot as a Windows 10 and Windows 11 security feature. Because the beta is over, this requirement is relevant only to understanding the old PC access rules, not to joining the past event. See EA’s Battlefield 6 FAQ.

- The 2025 Open Beta and the separately listed August 2026 free trial have both ended.
- Buying Battlefield 6, finding an old key, or downloading an old beta client does not grant access to the completed beta.
- EA’s FAQ says the full game launched October 10, 2025 and is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Full-game availability is separate from beta access.
