During Marvel Rivals’ Fortune & Colors event, players earned Danqing by completing event missions and challenges, then spent it to color an illustration and unlock rewards. The event ran from January 23 to February 14, 2025, and is over. The official update available as of September 2026 does not announce a return, so there is no confirmed current way to earn Danqing.
How players earned Danqing
Fortune & Colors ran from January 23, 2025, at 09:00 UTC through February 14, 2025, at 08:59:59 UTC. Marvel Rivals’ Version 20250122 patch notes say players earned Danqing by completing event missions and challenges. The game described Danqing as a magical dye used to fill a vibrant illustration.
A historical event reference identifies missions for the Clash of Dancing Lions mode and regular Season challenges as specific sources. It reports that regular Season challenges awarded 25 Danqing each, and that some event missions appeared twice. Examples included completing two or three Clash of Dancing Lions matches and intercepting the ball three times in one match. These mission-level details come from the community-maintained Fortune and Colors event reference; the official notes confirm the general method and direct players to the game for details.
What Danqing did
Players spent Danqing to color sections of the event illustration. The event reference lists a cost of 100 Danqing per section and 1,000 Danqing for the complete ten-reward track. Filling the illustration also framed the commemorative “Of Festivals and Friends” Gallery Card.

The listed track rewards included nameplates, sprays, Chrono Tokens, Star-Lord’s “Lion Roll” emote, the “Lion Dance” MVP animation, Star-Lord’s “Lion’s Mane” costume, and the Gallery Card. The reward-track amounts are historical figures reported by the community reference.
Danqing was separate from the event’s store costumes
The patch notes also listed Black Widow’s “Lion’s Heartbeat” and Iron Fist’s “Lion’s Gaze” as limited-time store costumes available during the January 23–February 14, 2025 event window. Those store items were separate from earning Danqing to fill the illustration. Star-Lord’s “Lion’s Mane” costume, by contrast, was listed as free to obtain during the event.

Can you earn Danqing now?
Not through the original Fortune & Colors event: its announced run ended February 14, 2025. Marvel Rivals’ September 23, 2026 patch notes describe other current content and an event period, but do not announce a Fortune & Colors return. That does not rule out a future rerun or another route to an item; it means the cited official information does not establish a way to earn Danqing now. Check the current in-game event and store screens, or a newer official announcement, for any change.
