In Jujutsu Zero, you get a Domain Fragment by opening crates. It is a rare crate reward rather than a direct boss drop. The best listed normal chance is from Grade 1 Crates at 2.6%.
The repeatable farming route is to run Jogo Raids, complete the raid, and open the crates you earn. You can also check open-world Grade 1 and Special Grade chests, although those drops are not guaranteed.

What Domain Fragment is used for
Domain Fragment is a Special Grade material used to unlock the final mastery technique—the Domain Expansion—for cursed techniques that support one.
As of the guide updated January 22, 2026, the techniques reported to have Domain Expansion moves are Limitless, Shrine, and Beast Amber. Beast Amber is the exception: it uses an Amber Vessel Fragment, not the ordinary Domain Fragment. Pro Game Guides lists the currently reported technique-specific requirements.

How to farm Domain Fragment
Method 1: Run Jogo Raids
Jogo Raids are the documented repeatable farming method because they give you crates to open after completion.
- Go to the Raids NPC near spawn.
- Enter the Raids Lobby.
- Select Create.
- Choose a Jogo Raid.
- Select an available difficulty: Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare, or Calamity.
- Clear the raid.
- Open the crates awarded by the raid and check for Domain Fragment.
Easy and Normal Jogo Raids award Flame Crates. Higher difficulties can award Volcanic and Calamity Crates. The raid itself does not guarantee the material: Domain Fragment is a low-probability result when the relevant crate is opened.
Choose the highest difficulty you can clear consistently. A harder raid may provide access to different crates, but repeatedly failing or taking substantially longer can make it less practical than a quicker, reliable clear.

Method 2: Open-world chests
Open-world Grade 1 and Special Grade chests are also documented sources. Search and open them whenever they are available, but treat them as supplementary farming rather than a guaranteed route. The material can fail to appear from an individual chest.
Domain Fragment drop chances
The following normal crate drop rates are reported by the current source table. These are chances per listed crate opening, not guarantees for completing a raid or defeating a boss.
| Crate | Reported chance |
|---|---|
| Grade 3 Crate | 0.16% |
| Grade 2 Crate | 0.253% |
| Grade 1 Crate | 2.6% |
| Special Grade Crate | 1.8% |
| Supply Crate | 0.15% |
| Flame Crate | 0.27% |
| Strengthened Crate I | 0.24% |
| Strengthened Crate II | 0.30% |
| Volcanic Crate | 0.27% |
| Valuable Crate | 0.04% |
| Calamity Crate | 0.18% |
| Amber Crate I | 0.22% |
| Amber Crate II | 0.21% |
The reported table shows Grade 1 Crates have the highest listed normal chance at 2.6%, followed by Special Grade Crates at 1.8%. The numbers are low, so opening one crate—or completing one raid—cannot be treated as a guaranteed attempt.

How to unlock the Domain Expansion
After obtaining the material, confirm that your cursed technique has a fourth mastery skill before spending your resources.
- Open the Overview menu.
- Go to Mastery.
- Select the locked fourth skill for your cursed technique.
- Check the displayed requirement and press the on-screen unlock button when eligible.
The documented unlock requirements are:
- 100 mastery in the cursed technique
- 100,000 Yen
- 1 Domain Fragment
The menu may call the item a “Domain shard” in some text. This refers to the same requirement described in current guides as Domain Fragment.
How to tell whether your technique supports a Domain
Select or hover over the fourth mastery node. A compatible technique displays the Domain Expansion requirement there. If the technique shows only three skills, there is no documented Domain skill in that mastery screen, so Domain Fragment will not create a fourth move for it.
Rank #4
Beast Amber uses a different item
Do not spend time farming ordinary Domain Fragment if you are trying to unlock Beast Amber’s Domain. Beast Amber reportedly requires Amber Vessel Fragment instead.
That separate item is reported to come from Calamity Crates and the Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss. It should not be confused with Domain Fragment, even though both materials are associated with final mastery abilities.

Common mistakes and troubleshooting
Expecting the raid boss to drop the item directly
The documented source is crate opening. Jogo Raid bosses and mini-bosses do not directly drop Domain Fragment according to the stronger crate-based source evidence. Finish the raid, collect the reward crates, and open them.
Best Value
Assuming Easy Jogo Raid guarantees a Fragment
Easy difficulty provides crates, but the Fragment remains a low-probability crate result. A successful Easy clear is not the same as receiving the material.
Looking for a command
There is no documented chat or console command for obtaining Domain Fragment. The process uses the Raids NPC, raid menus, crate rewards, and the mastery unlock control.
Not seeing the full requirement on mobile
A community report describes the requirements on the mastery node being visually clipped on mobile. If the complete text is missing, try shrinking the screen or changing the device view so more of the node information is visible. This is a player-reported workaround, not an official fix. See the community report.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFarming an unsupported technique
Check the fourth node before farming. Domain Fragment is useful only when the selected cursed technique has a Domain Expansion skill that lists it as a requirement.
What is not established by the current evidence
Current documentation supports crate opening, Jogo Raid farming, open-world Grade 1 and Special Grade chests, and the mastery requirements above. It does not establish a guaranteed boss respawn timer, a required player Grade or level, a story-quest prerequisite, a Trading Plaza purchase route, direct trading, or an inventory “Use” button for Domain Fragment.
Claims that a Special Grade Curse is the most reliable source, that a boss drops Domain Fragment directly, or that the item has a roughly 10–15% drop rate conflict with the documented crate table and should not be used as a farming expectation.
Quick Recap
Best practical farming plan
- Confirm your technique has a fourth Domain skill in Overview > Mastery.
- Raise the technique to 100 mastery and save 100,000 Yen for the unlock.
- Run the highest Jogo Raid difficulty you can clear reliably.
- Open every crate from the raid instead of waiting for a direct boss drop.
- Open available Grade 1 and Special Grade world chests as additional attempts.
- Verify that the item requirement says Domain Fragment—not Amber Vessel Fragment—before unlocking.
