Check whether the exact item is offered by an official event attendant, the Calamity Salvager, or the Mog Station, and watch for an announced rerun. These routes are item-specific: there is no general system that restores every missed event reward, and Seasonal Event Replay lets eligible players revisit some quest content but does not grant its rewards.
What you can do after an FFXIV event ends
Start with the exact item you missed and how it was originally obtained. An event reward might have come from completing a seasonal quest, buying from an event vendor, or another route specified in the event announcement. What is possible afterward depends on that item and its eligibility rules—not simply on whether it was once an event reward.

- If the event is still active: complete the required quests and claim the reward before the announced end date.
- If it has ended: check official event information for an announced rerun and check official in-game vendors for the exact item.
- If you are considering replay: read the event’s warning carefully. Replay may let eligible players revisit quests, but it is not a reward-recovery feature.
- If no official route lists the item: the available information does not confirm a current way to obtain it. Do not assume it will return or become purchasable.
For example, the official Make It Rain Campaign 2026 page states: “Please note that seasonal quests cannot be completed after the event has concluded.” That campaign also offered certain items from earlier iterations through its campaign attendant. The exception does not mean that all past campaign rewards—or rewards from other events—are available there.
The most useful distinction is between earning a reward during an event and finding another official route after it ends. If you missed a quest reward, the event’s old quest generally is not left open as a way to claim it later. A vendor exception may cover certain past items, a rerun may create a fresh chance to earn rewards, and a store may list a particular item. None of those possibilities applies automatically to every reward.

There is no universal catalog or recovery rule established here for all seasonal event items. A particular mount being available in one campaign, for example, does not show that another event’s outfit or hairstyle is available. Check each item separately, and treat the official wording for that event and item as more useful than assumptions based on a different campaign.
How to check a specific missed item
- Write down the item’s exact name. Note the event it came from and whether it was a quest reward, an event-vendor item, or something else. This prevents confusing a similarly named item or an optional progression item with the reward you actually want.
- Check the official event page or announcement. Confirm the event dates and look for explicit instructions about items from past iterations, post-event vendors, or eligibility. Do not infer future availability from the fact that another event had a vendor exception.
- If the event is open, finish its requirements before it closes. Follow the event’s stated quest route and claim the reward while the event is active. The event end date is important: after it passes, the seasonal quests may no longer be completable.
- If it is over, look for an official rerun announcement. A rerun can create a new opportunity to earn rewards by completing the event while it is active. An earlier rerun does not promise another one or establish a schedule.
- Check the relevant event attendant and the Calamity Salvager. Search for the exact item and read any eligibility conditions. The Calamity Salvager’s official listing includes quest-reward purchase categories, but its stock depends on conditions met by the player; it is not a universal catalog of past event rewards.
- Check the Mog Station or official Online Store only for a specific listing. Verify the exact item and the applicable region. A mention of store items connected to event progression does not establish that a missed event reward is for sale.
- If none of those sources lists it, treat availability as unconfirmed. Keep an eye on official announcements for a possible return rather than relying on an unofficial claim that the item can be recovered.
These checks answer different questions: an event notice establishes when and how an event ran; a vendor listing can establish whether a particular item is offered under stated conditions; and an official store listing can establish whether a particular item is currently sold in a particular region. One does not stand in for another.
When you check a vendor, look for both the item and the stated requirements. A listing may be conditional on what your character has completed, and the Calamity Salvager’s official categories do not mean that every quest reward is in stock for every player. Likewise, seeing a vendor name in an event notice is not enough by itself: the useful detail is whether that notice names the item you want and says when or under what conditions it can be obtained.

If the item was originally part of a quest, identify whether the event page describes it as a quest reward or as a separate purchase. Those are different routes. If the original quest has ended, the fact that a quest can be replayed does not establish that its reward can be earned again. If the item was sold by a vendor during the event, check whether the official page explicitly says that a later vendor carries items from prior iterations.
For a store check, search the official Mog Station or Online Store for the exact reward rather than assuming that the event’s name will lead to a current listing. Check the relevant region, too. An official page mentioning optional items for event progression is not proof that event rewards are for sale, and the sources described here do not verify a current listing for any particular missed reward.
Replay is not the same as earning the rewards again
Seasonal Event Replay is a way for eligible players to revisit certain event quest content. It should not be confused with a rerun that opens the event to earn its rewards again. The official A Nocturne for Heroes special site puts the key restriction plainly: “You cannot obtain rewards by using the Seasonal Event Replay feature.”
Replay can also affect quest status and related item access. In the 2026 A Nocturne for Heroes replay instructions, eligible players who had completed the event in 2019, 2021, or 2024 could replay it. The site warned that using replay made certain quests incomplete and prevented purchases or exchanges for quest-related items from the Ironworks hand or recompense officers until the relevant quests were completed again. If the event period ended before the player finished those quests, the items could remain unavailable even if they had been accessible before replay.

That warning is specific to this event’s replay rules and named NPCs; it should not be treated as a universal description of every replayable event. The general lesson is to read the replay terms before activating the feature, especially if you already completed the event and still depend on quest-related purchases or exchanges.
In practical terms, replay answers a story-access question: can an eligible player revisit the quest content? It does not answer the reward question: can that player obtain the missed event items again? The official warning answers the second question for A Nocturne for Heroes: no rewards are obtained through replay. A rerun is different because it is an event being held again, with an active period during which players can pursue its rewards by completing the event.
Before starting replay, consider whether you currently use an event-related vendor or exchange that depends on completed quests. In the 2026 FFXV instructions, activating replay changed the status of certain quests and blocked the described purchases or exchanges until those quests were completed again. The notice also explains the risk if the event ends first: access to those items can remain unavailable even if you had previously completed the relevant quests. Do not activate replay solely because you expect it to restore rewards.
The 2026 Maiden’s Rhapsody page provides another example of the same boundary: eligible players can revisit past event quests, but the replay feature does not provide rewards. Still, read each event’s own instructions. The A Nocturne for Heroes warning names specific NPCs and quest effects; those details should not be assumed to apply to every replayable event.

What the 2026 FFXV rerun does—and does not—show
A Nocturne for Heroes, the Final Fantasy XV collaboration, returned from September 24 through October 13, 2026. Its rewards included the Regalia Type-G mount, Lucian Prince costume set, Lucian Locks hairstyle, and orchestrion rolls. The official announcement described the rerun as identical to the previous event. During the active rerun, players could pursue its rewards by completing the event; eligible players with earlier completions could use Seasonal Event Replay to revisit quest content, but replay itself did not award items.
The rerun is useful evidence that an event can return after earlier runs. It is not evidence that every collaboration or seasonal event will return, that the same rewards will always be offered, or that another rerun is scheduled. As of October 13, 2026, this announced run has ended. Anyone who missed its reward should check for a future official announcement and an exact official item listing rather than treating the 2026 dates as an ongoing acquisition window.
The 2026 Maiden’s Rhapsody page makes the same important distinction for replay: eligible players may revisit past event quests, but cannot obtain rewards through the replay feature. Meanwhile, Make It Rain 2026 illustrates a different case, where certain past campaign items were available from a campaign attendant. These examples demonstrate why the answer has to be checked event by event and item by item.

The FFXV example is particularly useful because its official pages describe two separate paths at once. Players who had not completed the event could pursue rewards while the rerun was active. Players who had already completed it in 2019, 2021, or 2024 could use replay to revisit its quests, but that replay did not grant rewards. The event’s return offered an earning opportunity; replay did not function as a second claim window.
Those dates also illustrate why it is important to distinguish an announcement from a current opportunity. The run lasted from September 24 to October 13, 2026. Once that period ended, the announced event window was over. A past page or screenshot can establish what was available during that run, but it cannot establish that the item is available now or that another run will happen. Recheck official announcements for a new date or official item listings for a current alternate route.
Make It Rain is a useful contrast, not a template for all events. Its 2026 page both says that seasonal quests cannot be completed once the campaign concludes and notes that certain items from earlier iterations were available from the campaign attendant. That is an explicit, limited exception. It does not promise that all prior Make It Rain items remain available indefinitely, or that the attendant sells rewards from unrelated events.
Can you still get the event mount, outfit, or hairstyle?
Possibly, but the item category alone does not determine the answer. A mount, costume piece, hairstyle, or orchestrion roll may have a route tied to its original quest, a later vendor listing, an official store listing, or a rerun. The sources do not establish a blanket rule that any one of these categories can always be bought or reclaimed later.
- Mounts: check for the exact mount name in an official current vendor or store listing, or wait for an officially announced rerun that offers it. The 2026 FFXV rerun included the Regalia Type-G mount, but that ended October 13, 2026.
- Costume items and hairstyles: use the same exact-item check. A prior event’s inclusion of the Lucian Prince costume set and Lucian Locks hairstyle does not prove that they are currently sold or that they will be included in a future run.
- Quest-related purchases or exchanges: verify whether you meet the vendor’s conditions and whether replay has changed your quest completion status.
Do not treat an old screenshot, a forum post about another event, or a past vendor exception as proof of current availability. The decisive evidence is an official, current listing or announcement that names the item and gives the relevant conditions.
The same logic applies whether the missed item is a mount, outfit, hairstyle, or orchestrion roll. The category can help you identify what you are looking for, but it does not tell you where it can be obtained now. Start with the item’s exact name, then compare its original route with any current official route. If the original source was a limited-time quest and no later listing or rerun announcement names the item, the careful answer is that a current way to obtain it has not been confirmed.
For a rerun, check that the announcement actually includes the reward you want. A future return of an event would be relevant, but the 2026 FFXV notice’s description of that particular rerun as identical to its previous event cannot be projected onto another event or an unannounced future run. Confirm both the dates and the reward list in the new official notice before relying on it.

Optional progression items are not missed event rewards
The A Nocturne for Heroes special site mentions optional progression items sold through the Mog Station for players who need to reach the requirements to participate. Those items address event access, not recovery of a missed reward. A store’s involvement in helping a player meet event requirements does not mean the reward itself is listed there.
Before buying anything, confirm that the exact reward you want appears in the official listing for your region. The official material cited here does not verify a current store listing for any particular missed event reward.

Buying or using an item intended to meet those requirements does not, by itself, reopen an ended quest or claim a missed mount, costume, hairstyle, or other event item.
There is no physical product that restores access to a digital event reward. A game edition, guide, accessory, collectible, or toy is separate from the account content awarded by an event. For the same reason, do not assume that an unrelated purchase or an unofficial sales offer is an official recovery method. The relevant question is whether the exact digital item has an official route available to your character and region.

If you cannot find the exact item at an official vendor or in the official store, and there is no active or announced rerun, the careful conclusion is that a current official acquisition route has not been confirmed. That is different from proving the item will never return. It is also different from being able to replay the associated story: quest access and reward eligibility are separate.
Do not substitute an unofficial account sale or assumed player trade for an official recovery path. The official sources described here do not establish those as ways to obtain missed event rewards. Use official announcements to monitor a possible rerun, then recheck the exact item and eligibility if one is announced.

It can help to record what you checked: the event page, the relevant event attendant, the Calamity Salvager, and the official store for your region. If none names the exact item, avoid turning “I did not find it” into a stronger claim that it will never return. It simply means you have not confirmed a current official acquisition route. If a new event notice appears, check its dates, reward list, vendor instructions, and eligibility again.

Do not let a replay option distract from the availability check. Replay may be useful if you want to revisit content and meet the event’s eligibility rules, but the official pages for A Nocturne for Heroes and Maiden’s Rhapsody explicitly say it does not grant rewards. Similarly, a vendor’s existence or a Mog Station reference is not proof that your item is included. Verify the reward itself and the conditions attached to that route.

Can I still get the Regalia Type-G mount from the 2026 FFXV event?
