When a Final Fantasy XIV limited-time event ends, its quest may close, but that does not tell you by itself whether every reward is gone for good. Some items return through a later event attendant, some collaborations run again or allow replay, and some seasonal items may appear in the official Online Store. These options depend on the specific event and item; there is no safe universal promise that a missed reward will return or remain for sale.
What changes when an event ends?
The first thing to check is whether the event quest can still be completed. The official Make It Rain Campaign 2026 notice says seasonal quests cannot be completed after that campaign concludes. For a limited-time event, treat the published end time as the quest deadline unless its own notice says otherwise.

A closed quest and an unavailable reward are related questions, but they are not identical. An event may end while a later route exists for some items—for example, an attendant during a future run or a listing in the Online Store. Conversely, the fact that one item has returned does not show that every reward from that event will return. Check the quest status and the exact reward separately.

Four possible routes for a missed reward

These are distinct possibilities, not a sequence that every player can follow for every event. A rerun may not be announced; a replay rule does not establish that a reward can be earned again; and an attendant or store may cover only selected items.
When comparing routes, look for evidence for the exact item rather than relying on a category-level statement. A notice that says some earlier items are available narrows the search to the attendant’s inventory; it does not confirm an item absent from that inventory. A replay feature concerns access to event content, while a store listing is a separate purchase route. Each answers a different part of the availability question.
What the official examples show
Make It Rain: the quest can close, while some old items return
The 2026 Make It Rain Campaign ran from May 29 through June 24, 2026 (PDT), according to its North American Lodestone notice. That notice says seasonal quests cannot be completed after the campaign concludes. It also says certain items available in previous iterations can be obtained from the campaign attendant. The wording is limited to certain items, so it does not establish that all past Make It Rain rewards are included.

For a missed Make It Rain reward, distinguish the closed campaign quest from the attendant’s inventory. The event’s end means the notice’s seasonal quest deadline has passed; a later opportunity for a particular old item depends on whether that item is included when the campaign returns.

Fall Guys: an irregular return, not a general event calendar
The 2026 Fall Guys collaboration notice says the event is identical to earlier versions and that players who completed its quest before can resume playing the content. It also says that after the current run, the collaboration will be held as a special event at irregular intervals. This is evidence that this specific collaboration can return, but it supplies no fixed schedule and says nothing about a general rerun pattern for other events.
Final Fantasy XV: replay rules can include past completers
The North American notice for the 2026 Final Fantasy XV collaboration describes the run as identical to a previous one and says players who had completed the event before can replay its quests through the seasonal event replay feature. The notice gives an end time of October 13, 2026, at 7:59 a.m. PDT. That time belongs to that notice and region; it should not be treated as a current opening or as a rule for other events.
The Final Fantasy XV example establishes that a prior completer can replay quests for that event when its notice provides the feature. It does not establish that all events offer replay, or that replay automatically grants every reward again. The exact reward and the current event rules still need to be checked.

Seasonal items in the Online Store
Official FFXIV optional-item information includes seasonal event items among items offered through the Online Store, and an official optional-items announcement lists seasonal items on Mog Station. This makes the official catalog another place to check for a missed reward. It is an item-by-item route: the information does not say that all event rewards are sold, that a particular item is listed now, or that a listing is permanent.

If a listing does exist, it is an optional-item purchase rather than proof that the event quest has reopened. Check the current product listing for the item and its availability. No general price or permanent-availability rule follows from the fact that seasonal items appear in the catalog.
How to check whether one specific reward is still obtainable
- Identify the exact reward and its event. Use the item’s precise name and determine which event or collaboration awarded it. Similar-looking items or rewards from different runs may have different availability.
- Open the official notice for that event’s current run. Read the stated event period and whether seasonal quest completion ends with it. If the notice gives a regional end time, use that time for the region covered by the notice.
- Look for an explicit return or replay rule. Check whether the announcement says the event will return, whether previous participants can resume or replay, and whether the current run includes the reward you want. A return announcement by itself does not establish every reward’s availability.
- Check the event attendant when the notice mentions past items. Compare the exact reward name with the attendant’s current inventory. A statement that “certain” prior items are available is not enough to infer that a particular unlisted item is included.
- Search the official Online Store or Mog Station for the exact item. Confirm the item listing itself rather than assuming that seasonal items as a category includes your reward. Store catalogs can change.
- If no route is confirmed, treat availability as unestablished. The official examples do not support a guarantee that every missed item will return, be replayable, or be sold later. Recheck official event notices and the current catalog if new information appears.
Keep the event notice and the reward listing separate as you check. The notice establishes dates and the event’s own rules; an attendant inventory or store catalog helps confirm whether a particular item is available through that route. If one source answers only part of the question, it is safer to leave the remaining part unresolved than to infer a promise.
How to interpret the answer you find
“The quest has ended”
This answers whether the event quest can be completed under the rules of that run. It does not, on its own, settle whether an item will be offered in a later rerun or listed in the Online Store. Look for a separate statement about old rewards or another route.
“The event will return”
A return gives you a reason to check again, not a promise about every reward. The Fall Guys notice is especially clear about timing: it says returns will occur at irregular intervals, not on a stated recurring calendar. Other events may have different rules or no published return details.

“Previous players can replay”
Replay eligibility concerns access to event content. It should not be read as a blanket statement that a previously earned reward can be earned again, or that replay is available for unrelated events. Confirm the reward rules in the notice for the event in question.
“Seasonal items are sold in the store”
This describes a possible sales channel, not a complete list of past rewards. The useful confirmation is a current listing for the exact item. If it is absent, the general existence of seasonal listings does not prove that it will be added later.
What not to assume
- Do not assume an expired quest can still be completed because a reward has appeared in a later run.
- Do not assume every item from an event returns when an attendant offers some previous-run items.
- Do not assume one collaboration’s replay feature or irregular return schedule applies to other events.
- Do not assume every seasonal reward is sold through the Online Store, or that a store listing is permanent.
- Do not apply a date or end time from one regional announcement to another region without checking its notice.
The practical answer for any missed reward is therefore specific: the event notice tells you whether the quest is still open and what the current run allows; the attendant, replay rules, and store listing each need separate confirmation for the exact item.

Can I still get FFXIV event items after the event ends?
Sometimes, but there is no universal rule. Some prior-run items may be offered by an attendant during a later iteration, some collaborations return or permit replay, and some seasonal items may appear in the official Online Store. Check the exact item and event notice; none of these routes applies to every reward.

Will a FFXIV event come back?
