The walkthrough below is from the unofficial, fan-maintained Blox Fruits Wiki, updated October 1, 2026.
Requirements for Instinct V2
Before starting the Hungry Man’s fruit-bowl task, make sure you meet the requirements listed by the Blox Fruits Wiki:
- Level 1800 or higher.
- 5,000 Instinct V1 EXP. Instinct EXP is earned by dodging attacks while Instinct is active. To check your progress, ask the Instinct Teacher in Upper Skylands how much EXP you have. The wiki says reaching the maximum also grants the “Ultra Instinct” title, #072; see its Instinct guide.
- Citizen quest completed and Musketeer Hat obtained.
- 5,000,000 in-game currency available for the purchase after the quest.
- Access to the Third Sea, where the Hungry Man is located.
If you have not learned Instinct V1 yet, the wiki lists separate entry requirements: level 300, completion of the Saber Puzzle, and 750,000 to learn it from the Instinct Teacher. Those are for unlocking V1, not extra steps to repeat if you already have it.
Complete the Hungry Man quest
- Find the Hungry Man. Go to Floating Turtle in the Third Sea and speak to him in the pineapple-shaped house.
- Collect an apple, banana, and pineapple. The wiki lists their locations as follows:
- Apple: on a hill at Floating Turtle, near the Hungry Man.
- Banana: on a hill by the Great Tree, near Hydra Island.
- Pineapple: at Port Town, near a stall in the rightmost corner.
- Have the Citizen make a fruit bowl. Take all three fruits to the Citizen. The Hungry Man wants them in a bowl, not as loose fruit.
- Return to the Hungry Man and buy Instinct V2. Give him the bowl and pay 5,000,000 in-game currency.
The wiki quest listing says the fruits spawn at ten-minute intervals. Treat that timing as a guide rather than a guarantee; check in-game if a fruit is missing.

What Instinct V2 adds
According to the fan-maintained V2 page, Instinct V2 provides more information about opponents and changes several Instinct mechanics:
- It can show an opponent’s energy, health, Fruit Meter, level, fighting style, sword, Blox Fruit, gun, and fishing rod. It shows current weapons, not the opponent’s entire inventory.
- Dodge recharge is listed as 30 seconds, compared with 50 seconds for V1.
- Detection range increases, and active vision is described as brighter and less blurred.
- Dashes receive a 50% speed boost during combat.
These mechanics and timings are wiki-reported rather than confirmed by a developer-published guide.

Does merchandise unlock Instinct V2?
No cited official merchandise page says that buying a plush or other merchandise unlocks Instinct V2 or replaces the Hungry Man quest. Official Blox Fruits merchandise may include codes for virtual rewards, but that does not establish a code for this ability. Instinct V2 is obtained through the in-game progression steps above.
