In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, Jubilife TV is locked until you have played for about two hours; the exact timing varies. Once it opens, go to the building’s third floor and speak to the TV producer. In the original Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, and Pokémon Platinum, the reported requirement differs: earn the Coal Badge, then complete the Team Galactic encounter north of Jubilife City.
In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, how do I enter Jubilife TV?
The building is gated by story progress, not by an item or a special interaction at the door. Nintendo says Jubilife TV becomes accessible after about two hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary. If an NPC is still blocking the entrance, continue through the game and try again later; the two-hour figure is an estimate, not a precise unlock timer. Nintendo Support’s Mystery Gift instructions give this access timing.

How do I unlock Mystery Gift inside the building?
- Enter Jubilife TV once the building is accessible.
- Go to the third floor and speak to the TV producer.
- When asked about your favorite TV program, select “EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION.”
This is the Mystery Gift unlock sequence Nintendo documents for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It is separate from the requirement to get through the entrance.
What if I’m playing the original Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum?
For the original Nintendo DS games, a specialist reference reports that the entrance stays blocked until you have earned the Coal Badge and completed the Team Galactic encounter north of Jubilife City. This condition is reported for Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, and Pokémon Platinum; it should not be confused with Nintendo’s Mystery Gift instructions for the Switch remakes. See Bulbapedia’s Jubilife TV entry for the original-game progression detail.

Why is the entrance still blocked?

- In Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum: check that you have both earned the Coal Badge and cleared the Team Galactic encounter north of Jubilife.
- For Mystery Gift: entering the station is not the final step; speak with the producer on the third floor and choose the specified TV program in the remakes.
The Pokémon Company identifies Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl as Nintendo Switch role-playing games; the access instructions above are specific to the game version named in each section.
