You generally can’t get rid of a permanent Clash of Clans ban. Supercell says a banned account will never be accessible again and that it does not process appeals for account penalties. If you only lost access to your account, that is a separate problem: use Supercell’s account-recovery guidance, which restores access but does not remove a ban.
Can Supercell unban a permanently banned Clash of Clans account?
Supercell’s support article “Why Was I Banned?” describes a ban as a permanent suspension and says the account “will never be accessible again.” Its Safe and Fair Play guidance also says the company does not debate disciplinary actions with players or process appeals for account penalties that have been applied.
The published guidance does not promise a special review or exception for players who believe a ban was mistaken. You can consult official Clash of Clans Support to identify whether the message you see is a ban or an account-access issue, but do not treat account recovery as an appeal route.
What can lead to a permanent ban?
Supercell’s support material identifies extreme offenses such as cheating, systematic account theft, and illegal activity such as fraud as conduct that can result in a permanent ban. In a dated Clash of Clans Team announcement on 30 April 2024, the team said it would permanently ban accounts identified as bots and players using third-party software. That statement is a 2024 policy announcement, not a new 2026 update.

Supercell says disciplinary actions follow careful investigation. The official guidance does not provide ban statistics, success rates for reversing penalties, or a timeline for an appeal process; it says appeals for account penalties are not processed.
Is account recovery the same as getting unbanned?
No. A ban is a penalty on the account; lost access means you may be unable to sign in or prove ownership. Supercell’s lost-account-access instructions cover recovering an account, not overturning a ban.

- If you can access the Supercell ID email, try signing in. Supercell says signing in with the email linked to Supercell ID can restore access to your progress.
- If sign-in does not work, follow the lost-access instructions. Supercell may ask for details to help verify ownership, such as your player tag, account name and level, clan name where applicable, or purchase transaction IDs.
- Use the account-protection method you set up, if applicable. Account Protection may use SMS verification or a recovery code.
These steps are for ownership verification and account access. They are not a way to appeal a ban or restore an account that Supercell has permanently suspended.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you pay for an unban service or change devices?
No substantiated physical product or paid service can change the account’s status. Supercell’s published policy provides no basis for expecting an accessory, a new device, an account seller, or a third-party “unban” offer to reverse its decision. Avoid giving account credentials or payment to anyone promising to remove a permanent ban.
