How to get Invertion from Toji
- Travel to Tomb of the Stars.
- Enter the pit area inside the zone.
- Defeat the Toji mini-boss.
- Collect the drop if Invertion appears in the rewards.
Item Level reports a 10% drop chance, but no primary developer source confirming that rate was identified. Treat 10% as a reported figure rather than a guaranteed current rate.

Toji’s respawn timer is also uncertain. Published guides report either 20 minutes or 30 minutes, so the current interval should not be treated as verified. If Toji is absent, check the area again later rather than assuming the boss or drop has been removed.

Invertion I Quest
According to Item Level’s guide, the Physical Heavenly Restrictor (PHR) Teacher offers an Invertion I Quest that rewards the item. The available references do not verify the exact current menu path or interaction labels for starting this quest.

Invertion II Quest
The same guide reports an Invertion II Quest from the Supply Exchanger in Tomb of the Stars. This route is reported to require Level 300+. Look for the Supply Exchanger within Tomb of the Stars and check whether the quest is available for your character.
Possible reward from Inverted Spear of Heaven
Item Level also reports that Toji can drop the Inverted Spear of Heaven, and that receiving it grants an Invertion as well. This additional reward interaction has not been independently confirmed by a primary source, so use it as a possibility rather than a guaranteed farming method.

Invertion is needed for the third quest in the Zenin Elite questline. The reported requirements are:

Turn in both items to receive the third Zenin Heirloom. The Zenin Elite NPC is identified as Naoya Zen’in. One guide places him at approximately 3007, 376, 1088, on top of a rock in the ocean within the Level 400–500 zone, and reports a Level 500+ requirement for the questline. Because exact current interaction paths are not verified, use the in-game quest markers and NPC prompts if the location or labels differ.

Absolute Beatdown
After completing the Zenin Elite questline and obtaining all three Zenin Heirlooms, open the Mastery menu to unlock Absolute Beatdown, the Projection Sorcery finisher. The available references confirm Mastery as the relevant menu, but do not verify the exact current button label or submenu.

Inverted Spear of Heaven – Celestial Slam
Celestial Slam requires 3 Invertion items, not one. This requirement is reported by Roonby and Item Level.
Important spelling and guide discrepancies
The item is spelled Invertion in the relevant quest and guide references. Many pages call it “Inversion,” but that is not the spelling used here.

You may also encounter guides mentioning a hidden Reversal Mentor, a Level 65 requirement, dialogue choices, quest resets, or an “Inversion Trial.” Those details conflict with the Toji and Tomb of the Stars route supported by the other references and should not be treated as verified requirements for obtaining Invertion.
Quickest practical farming plan
- Meet the relevant level requirements for Tomb of the Stars and the Zenin questline.
- Check the PHR Teacher for the Invertion I Quest.
- If you are Level 300 or higher, check the Supply Exchanger in Tomb of the Stars for Invertion II.
- Farm Toji in the pit whenever the mini-boss is available.
- Save at least one Invertion for the third Zenin Elite quest; collect three if you also want Celestial Slam.
