To marry another player in Where Winds Meet, play in Online Mode, raise your relationship to Intimacy Level 2 (Companions), group up, and speak with Shi Yimo in Red Maple Forest to form a partnership. The steps and location come from a guide updated July 30, 2026, so check the current in-game map and menus if labels differ.
What you need before the ceremony
- Online Mode: The partnership feature is part of the game’s online social systems.
- Companions: Reach Intimacy Level 2 with the player you want to marry.
- A group: Form a group with that player before visiting Shi Yimo.
The July 2026 AllThings.How partnership guide says the feature is for player characters; NPC relationships are separate and do not make an NPC your spouse.

How to form a partnership
- Switch to Online Mode.
- Raise your relationship with the intended partner to Intimacy Level 2: Companions. The guide lists playing together, completing co-op content, and exchanging gifts as ways to build intimacy.
- Form a group with your intended partner.
- Travel together to Shi Yimo and speak with the NPC to select the partnership option and confirm.
The newer guide places Shi Yimo in Red Maple Forest. An earlier AllThings.How guide calls the destination Crimson Cliff, describing it as a red maple forest southwest of the General’s Shrine in Qinghe. Since the names differ, search for Shi Yimo on the current map rather than assuming both labels are exact synonyms.

Finding a partner in-game
If you do not already have someone to partner with, guides describe matchmaking through a feature called Seeking Fate. The earlier guide describes sending letters through Shi Yimo, while the newer guide points to a Seeking Fate listing near the Wishing Band Tree. These reported entry points differ, so check the current Social interface and nearby in-game prompts for the active method.
What partnership and intimacy unlock
Intimacy progression is not limited to marriage. The reported benefits include synced actions and emotes, outfit borrowing, teleporting to a partner, team conveniences, and Adventure Slip bonuses. AllThings.How reports that Intimacy Level 10, called Vowed, provides a maximum Adventure Slip bonus of 55%; this is the guide’s description of an in-game mechanic, not an official published statistic.

The July 2026 guide says any gender combination can form a partnership and reports one active partnership at a time in the global version. The earlier guide mentions multi-partner support tied to sects, while also warning that availability varies by region. Do not assume multi-partner rules apply to every version; rely on the limits shown by your current client.
The earlier guide also reports a weekly intimacy-point cap, but the newer procedural guide does not confirm a rate or timeline. There is no dependable universal estimate here for how quickly a pair can reach Companions.
The available guides describe social, cosmetic, and convenience benefits. They do not establish that the ceremony itself requires a real-world purchase.
