Their Mega Stones are promotion rewards for rising through online Ranked Battles: Sceptilite is listed for Season 5, Swampertite for Season 6, and Blazikenite for Season 7. Pokémon says the stones are not normally available through regular gameplay and will be redistributed in future seasons, but it has not announced when.
What returns in Mega Dimension
The Hoenn starter trio is Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert. Pokémon says players can encounter all three in the additional story content included in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension. The DLC is post-main-story content; its launch announcement provides story context, while Pokémon’s later Ranked Battles announcement gives the specific details about the Hoenn trio and their Mega Stones. Encountering the Pokémon and Mega Evolving them are separate
Owning or encountering one of these Pokémon does not, by itself, provide the Mega Stone needed for its Mega Evolution. Pokémon lists the stones as online Ranked Battles promotion rewards earned by rising in rank—not as rewards for ordinary story progression.

|---|---|---|

| Swampert | Swampertite | Season 6 |
| Blaziken | Blazikenite | Season 7 |
These are the seasons shown on Pokémon’s reward announcement, published December 9, 2025. The announcement does not give dates here for future seasons or specify an alternative way to obtain the stones during regular gameplay. See the official Ranked Battles reward details.

What you need for the ranked reward route
To pursue the announced Mega Stone rewards, you need access to online Ranked Battles and must rise in rank. Pokémon states that Ranked Battles require a Nintendo Account and a Nintendo Switch Online membership. The membership is sold separately and is not available in every country, so eligibility and access depend on region. The official notice does not establish a particular rank threshold beyond the requirement to rise in rank.
Future availability is planned, but not dated
Pokémon says the Mega Stones cannot normally be obtained during regular gameplay and are planned for redistribution in future seasons. That leaves the original Season 5–7 reward schedule as the specific schedule named in the announcement; the future redistribution note does not identify dates or promise a particular rerun order. If you miss a listed season, the official information supports waiting for a future redistribution, but not predicting when it will happen.

- Your journey will take you to all manner of sights in the streets arrayed around Prism Tower, including shops, restaurants, and places called wild zones—where Pokémon roam free.
- As you catch, train, and battle Pokémon, there will be plenty of people to meet too—like AZ, the enigmatic owner of Hotel Z.
Don’t confuse these with the Kalos starters
The Hoenn trio is distinct from the Kalos starters—Chesnaught, Delphox, and Greninja—whose Mega Evolutions Pokémon announced in September 2025. That announcement also described Mega Stones as Ranked Battles promotion rewards, but it is not the source for Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert’s Mega Dimension encounters or their Season 5–7 stone schedule.
