There is no official child-side way to bypass a parent-set Roblox time limit. Roblox says that once a child reaches the daily limit, they cannot use Roblox for the rest of that day. If you need more time, ask your parent or guardian to review the limit; another restriction on your device may also be blocking access.
Which screen-time limit is blocking Roblox?
Roblox time may be controlled in more than one place. A limit set in Roblox is managed by a parent account linked to the child’s Roblox account. Separately, a phone, tablet, computer, or console may have app or device limits managed through its family-control service.
- Roblox account: Roblox’s screen-time limit can stop access to Roblox for the rest of the day after it is reached. Roblox explains how its screen-time controls work.
- Device or family service: Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link, or Microsoft Family Safety may also limit app use or device time, depending on the device and account setup. Their controls are managed by a parent or family organizer, not bypassed through Roblox.
How to ask for more Roblox time
Tell your parent or guardian that you have reached a limit and ask whether they can review it. A specific request is easier to consider than asking to remove the limit altogether: propose an amount of extra time or a schedule that fits the family’s plans.
If the limit seems mistaken, show them the message on screen and explain which device you are using. That can help them determine whether the restriction comes from Roblox, Apple Screen Time, Google Family Link, or Microsoft Family Safety. Do not ask for or use someone else’s passcode or parent-account credentials.

What a parent or guardian can check
- Check Roblox first. Sign in to the parent-privileged Roblox account linked to the child’s account. In Roblox settings, open Parental Controls, select the linked child, then review Screen time and the daily limit. Roblox also provides usage insights, including time spent on the platform and top experiences. See Managing Screen Time and the Parental Controls FAQ; menu labels may change.
- Check the device’s family controls. If Roblox’s own limit is not the cause, review the family-control app or settings for the device the child is using. A device-level restriction can remain in place even after a Roblox limit is changed.
- Agree on a clear limit or exception. Set a time that fits the household schedule and make sure the child knows how to ask for a change. Roblox controls can vary with account age, while some device exception options depend on software version and family configuration.
Roblox’s current parental controls use linked accounts with parent privileges. The company says it replaced the old Parent PIN approach; parents should use their linked parent account rather than look for a Parent PIN setting. See Roblox’s Parent PIN information.

Why a child may not see the same controls
Roblox parental-control availability varies with account age, and the parent must use an account with parent privileges linked to the child’s account. On Apple devices, exception requests are not available in every software version or family configuration. Android, Chromebook, Windows, Xbox, and mobile support likewise depends on the service’s supported device and account setup, so the parent should check the official instructions for the device in use.
