Mutant Mary Jane is a chance-based outcome in 60 Seconds! Reatomized, not a transformation you can trigger on demand. Players most clearly report getting it during the mutant-spider shelter event: either do nothing or try using the Boy Scout Handbook. Neither choice is guaranteed, and no verified odds or fixed number of attempts are available.
How to try for Mutant Mary Jane
-
Keep Mary Jane in the shelter while you progress through survival events.
-
When the mutant-spider event appears, choose either to do nothing or to use the Boy Scout Handbook. Players have reported both choices leading to her mutation, but also report that the outcome can fail. The account comes from a 2019 Steam Community discussion, not an official guarantee.
-
If the spider event does not result in a mutation, players also mention doing nothing during a leaking-pipes or green-goo event, and cockroach events, as possible routes. These are less clearly supported and remain chance-based.

What to do after she mutates
Keep feeding Mary Jane after expeditions and check her in-game status. A secondary guide also advises feeding her; the available accounts do not establish that mutation removes her care needs or provide universal details about its effects across editions or patches. See Games Learning Society’s guide.

The spider-event approach is the clearest player-reported method, but none of the cited accounts establishes exact odds, a guaranteed choice, or a current patch-specific trigger. Green goo and cockroaches are additional player-reported possibilities rather than dependable fallbacks. The sources do not verify that the transformation can be obtained within 60 seconds of real time.
Quick Recap
Rank #2
- With sculpts inspired by Mateus Santolouco from IDW Comics, TLS brings to life the mysterious and enigmatic Rat King!
- With great attention to detail, the Rat King's slightly mummified appearance comes to life as his spindly body sports tattered rags for clothing with the fabric wrapping around his body from his toes to neck.
- The Rat King is adorned with a sophisticated leather duster style jacket that showcases a special paint treatment that replicates the look of real fabric.
- Figure is a 1:15th scale, 5-inch Action Figure that boasts 31 points of articulation for maximum posing and play.
- Includes two head portraits with his fiery orange hair and equally unsettling grinning expressions and multiple hand grips.
