To get past Hunter’s March’s red flowers, jump beside one, then strike it with an airborne downward-diagonal attack. A successful hit bounces Hornet upward; aim toward the next safe ledge and adjust your timing if you miss. The flower move itself does not require a special ability or item, according to Insider Gaming’s guide.
How to bounce off the red flowers
- Jump into position. Get airborne near the flower.
- Angle the attack down and to one side. Hold down plus left or right, then attack as Hornet reaches the flower.
- Use the bounce to reach the next platform. Choose the attack direction to send Hornet toward a safe landing. If the strike does not connect or the landing falls short, adjust the timing or aim and try again.
The key is hitting the flower with the downward-diagonal strike while airborne. The dedicated guide describes the resulting upward bounce and recommends practicing the timing and chaining jumps; it does not give a platform-specific control table, so exact button inputs may vary by setup.

Where to go through Hunter’s March
Enter from the Marrow
The main approach to Hunter’s March is from the Marrow, where a Skarrgard guards the entrance. The area can be accessed early, but the community wiki describes it as intended for a later return because of its higher difficulty. See the Hunter’s March area entry for that context.
At the first major fork
Use the red plants to climb, then take the upper-left route past flying enemies. Continue beyond the spikes to free the caged flea. What to do if the bounce is difficult
- Missed the flower: Make sure Hornet is airborne and the attack is angled downward, not merely horizontal.
- Hit it but missed the ledge: Try the opposite diagonal direction or change when you attack so the bounce carries Hornet toward the platform.
- Struggling with the route: Expect a challenging area, particularly if you enter early. The cited walkthroughs describe the initial fork, but do not establish a complete room-by-room route here.
