To clear a bounty in Rune Slayer, find Lockmeier beside the inn in Wayshire and pay the amount he requests. The fee is reported to depend on your bounty, so check the in-game prompt before you decide whether to pay.
Where to find Lockmeier
Lockmeier is reported to stand beside or just outside the inn in Wayshire, the starting town. The Rune Slayer community wiki identifies him as the NPC who removes a character’s bounty.
How to clear your bounty
- Travel to Wayshire.
- Go to the inn and find Lockmeier nearby.
- Interact with him and read the amount he asks for.
- Pay the requested in-game currency to remove the bounty.
The guides reviewed describe paying Lockmeier as the way to clear a bounty; they do not establish a timer-based or other alternative method.
How much does it cost?
The community wiki lists a fee of 10 Silver per player killed. Other guides describe a variable charge, from a few Silver for a small bounty to several Gold for a large one. One guide updated February 28, 2025, reports that extensive bounties can cost more than 20 Gold; that is an example, not a complete price schedule. Since these guides may not reflect the current game, use the amount shown in Lockmeier’s prompt as the practical price.

Getting to him if guards attack
A guide updated February 28, 2025, says guards and other players may attack characters with a bounty, and warns that guards near the inn and Guild building can make the approach difficult. Its suggested workaround is to approach Lockmeier from the back of town. Treat this as guide advice rather than a guaranteed safe route.
