Change your avatar’s skin tone in the Roblox Avatar Editor—no purchase is needed. On the website, open Avatar → Head & Body → Skin Tone and choose a new color. In the mobile app, go to Me (or Avatar) → Customize → Body → Skin. If only one body part should change, use the website’s Advanced controls.
Change your skin tone on the Roblox website
- Open your account’s Avatar section.
- Hover over Head & Body and select Skin Tone.
- Choose a color to apply it to your entire avatar.
- To recolor only certain parts, select Advanced, choose a body part, and pick its color.
Roblox’s Avatar Editor instructions describe both whole-avatar skin tone and individual-part controls.

Change your skin tone in the mobile app
- Sign in and open Me. If your app still shows Avatar, open that instead; Roblox says the label change is rolling out by region.
- Tap Customize, then Body.
- Open Skin and select the color you want.
These are Roblox’s documented mobile steps: Mobile Avatar Editor.

Check the account avatar first
Look at your avatar in the editor. If it is still green, set a whole-avatar tone or use Advanced to check the individual body parts.

Refresh the avatar preview
If the editor preview has not updated after a change, select Redraw below the avatar picture. Roblox recommends this for an item that is not displaying correctly; it is a redraw option, not a guarantee that every display problem will be fixed.
Check the experience’s own character settings
If your account avatar is no longer green but the character is green in just one experience, check that experience’s own customization options or support. The account-avatar instructions do not establish why a particular game’s character remains green, and community comments are not proof of a universal cause.
