How to stop the nearby skeletons from getting back up

Bring a Divine weapon. If your regular weapon does not have the Divine effect, carry a separate Divine weapon for the skeletons.

After entering the arena, deal with the three skeletons near your landing area using that weapon. The Divine effect prevents skeletons from reassembling, according to the Dark Souls Wiki’s skeleton reference.

Once those skeletons are no longer a threat, switch to your preferred weapon or attack style for Nito. You do not have to use a Divine weapon for the whole boss fight.

Where to stand so you do not draw in more skeletons
Do not run across the arena. Stay near the spot where you land and let Nito approach. The Gravelord Nito strategy reference describes three giant skeletons at the far end that do not engage unless approached. Staying near the entrance area helps avoid them, but positioning alone does not stop the three nearby skeletons from reassembling.
What counts as a Divine weapon?
The Divine auxiliary effect is the relevant property: it prevents skeletons from reassembling. The skeleton reference lists weapons upgraded with a Divine Ember, along with Astora’s Straight Sword, Crescent Axe, Grant, the non-cursed Greatsword of Artorias, and the Silver Knight Spear. Which weapon is practical depends on your character; the cited sources do not identify one best choice for every build.

Alternative: reduce detection
The Nito strategy reference also suggests the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and Ring of Fog as an alternative way to avoid detection. These rings are not required if you use a Divine weapon on the nearby skeletons and remain near the landing area. The strategy source notes that this approach can reduce the effective space in which you can fight.
