During Falinks Raid Day, find a Gym with a Falinks raid and defeat it. Niantic increased Falinks appearances in raids for the event, which ran from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

After the battle, check the Falinks encounter for a shiny. Each raid offered a chance, not a guarantee; completing a certain number of raids did not ensure a Shiny Falinks.

Niantic announced the debut this way: “For the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to encounter Shiny Falinks—if you’re lucky!” (Pokémon GO’s official Falinks Raid Day announcement, August 29, 2024.)
Can Falinks be shiny in raids?
Yes. During the September 8, 2024 Raid Day, Falinks encountered after raids could be shiny, and Niantic said the chance was increased. The announcement did not give a numerical probability, so there is no official event rate to cite.

What did the Raid Day ticket add?
The optional ticket cost US$5, or the equivalent local pricing tier, and added raid rewards and pass access; it did not guarantee a shiny. Its bonuses applied from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time on September 8, 2024. The ticket was sold in the in-game shop only until 5:00 p.m. local time that day.

The ticket could support more raid attempts and improve raid rewards, but neither the ticket nor its bonuses changed the encounter into a guaranteed shiny.

What was the Remote Raid Pass limit?
The Remote Raid Pass limit was raised to 20 from Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. until Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. PDT. That was a separate window from the Raid Day itself, which ran from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on September 8.

Niantic’s event announcement does not establish whether Falinks or Shiny Falinks is available in the current raid rotation, so present-day availability cannot be confirmed from that announcement. Check current in-game raid listings and official Pokémon GO announcements for the active rotation.
