You can earn both Pokémon by completing specific game Pokédexes in Pokémon HOME, confirming completion in the Games tab, and claiming each reward in the smartphone app’s Mystery Gifts. Shiny Keldeo requires the Galar, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra Pokédexes from Pokémon Sword or Shield; Shiny Meltan requires the Kanto Pokédex from Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!. A linked Nintendo Account is required, and each reward is limited to one per account.
Which Pokédex earns each reward?
| Reward | Pokédex to complete in Pokémon HOME | Qualifying game |
|---|---|---|
| Shiny Keldeo | Galar, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra | Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield |
| Shiny Meltan | Kanto | Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! |
These are rewards for game-specific Pokédex completion, not code giveaways. HOME registers Pokémon caught in the corresponding games toward those Pokédexes, so a Pokémon’s presence in the National Pokédex alone does not prove that the relevant game-specific entry is registered. See Pokémon HOME’s feature information.
How to get Shiny Keldeo in Pokémon HOME
- Register all required entries in the Galar, Isle of Armor, and Crown Tundra Pokédexes in Pokémon HOME using Pokémon caught in Sword or Shield.
- Open Pokémon HOME and confirm that all three Pokédexes are complete in the Games tab. Pokémon says players who completed these Pokédexes before the reward was announced are eligible too.
- On the smartphone version of Pokémon HOME, open the menu and select Mystery Gift, then Gift Box.
- Select the Shiny Keldeo gift and choose Claim. The Pokémon is placed in a Pokémon HOME Box.
You can trade with other Trainers worldwide to obtain Pokémon needed for completion; you do not have to catch every entry yourself. The qualifying records still need to appear in the relevant Sword/Shield game-specific HOME Pokédexes. The official announcement explains the reward conditions at Pokémon.com.
How to get Shiny Meltan in Pokémon HOME
- Register every required entry in the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon HOME using Pokémon caught in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!.
- In HOME’s Games tab, confirm that the Let’s Go Kanto Pokédex is complete. Prior completion also qualifies.
- In the smartphone app, open the menu, choose Mystery Gift, and then open Gift Box.
- Choose the Shiny Meltan gift and select Claim to send it to a HOME Box.
This reward is specifically tied to the Kanto Pokédex for the Let’s Go games. A different Kanto-related reward announced in October 2026 is for completing the Kanto (GBA) Pokédex and grants a Celebi, not Shiny Meltan; the two requirements should not be confused. See the October 7, 2026 Pokémon notice.

Can you still claim the gifts?
Pokémon’s announcement, published February 14, 2025, gives no end date for either reward. The HOME features page still lists them, but that is not a guarantee that a gift is available to every account indefinitely. Check the smartphone HOME app’s Mystery Gift section for the current status. Pokémon Support notes that gifts in the Gift Box can become unavailable after a period, but its instructions do not state a specific expiration period for these two rewards: Pokémon Support’s Mystery Gift instructions.

- Check the Games tab and verify completion of the exact game-specific Pokédex, not just the National Pokédex.
- Make sure a Nintendo Account is linked to Pokémon HOME; the official announcement requires one for these rewards.
- Use the smartphone app’s Mystery Gift menu. The announcement specifies claiming from the smartphone version, and HOME’s mobile feature information lists Mystery Gifts as a supported feature.
- If you have already received that reward on the same Nintendo Account, it cannot be claimed again: each reward is limited to once per account.
- If the gift still is not shown, check the app and contact official Pokémon Support. The announcement does not establish a permanent availability window or a specific deadline.
For the original eligibility details, see Pokémon’s February 14, 2025 announcement.
