To earn the Bing Bong Badge in PEAK, escape the island while Bing Bong is in a Scout’s inventory or Backpack. The community-maintained PEAK Wiki says everyone in the group earns the badge when the condition is met, so only one Scout needs to carry him.
How to earn the Bing Bong Badge
- Find and pick up Bing Bong. He must be in a Scout’s inventory or Backpack for the badge condition to count; the wiki does not say he has to be held in hand at the end. PEAK Wiki: Bing Bong.
- Keep him with the group until you escape the island. Once the escape succeeds with Bing Bong in a Scout’s inventory or Backpack, the wiki says every player in the group receives the badge.
- Check your progress. Open the pause menu and view the Accolades screen. The badge overview says locked badges appear with question marks, and earned badges display on the Scout’s equipped sash. PEAK Wiki: Wanderer Badge.
Choose an eligible expedition
Use a standard expedition, not a Custom Expedition: the badge overview says Custom Expeditions do not award badges. It says badges are available on all difficulties, with Undead Encounter unavailable on Tenderfoot; it does not identify the Bing Bong Badge as an exception. The cited rules do not specify a different carry-and-escape requirement for solo play versus co-op.
Don’t confuse this with the 24 Karat Badge
The Bing Bong Badge is about escaping with Bing Bong in a Scout’s inventory or Backpack. It is not the separate 24 Karat Badge, which concerns a golden Bing Bong sacrifice objective. A Steam Community discussion titled “Finding the bing bong shrine (24 Karat badge)” refers to that other badge, not the carry-and-escape condition described here. Steam Community discussion.
What to do if the badge doesn’t appear
- Confirm the expedition was not Custom.
- Make sure Bing Bong remained in a Scout’s inventory or Backpack until the escape succeeded.
- Check the Accolades screen after the expedition and look for the badge or its locked question-mark entry.
