To get the Divided Prismatic Key, solve the elemental-charge puzzle in The Divide, then defeat the enemies and final boss that appear. The boss drops the key, which opens the nearby Divided Prismatic chest and awards the Facet of Command.
Where to find the Divided Prismatic puzzle
The puzzle and chest are in The Divide, in the Pale Heart. A walkthrough published in June 2024 recommends finishing the campaign or reaching The Impasse patrol area before heading there. The chest is near a small room concealed behind an opening in a broken wall. Inside the room is the terminal that summons the Scorch Cannon. Walkthrough
How to charge both generators
- Enter the hidden room and interact with the terminal to summon a Scorch Cannon.
- Use the cannon to shoot the frozen piles around the area. Each pile reveals an elemental charge.
- Pick up the charges and carry them to the generators. Deposit charges until each generator reaches 10 points. The June 2024 guide gives these values: Void is worth 4 points, Solar 3, and Arc 2. Puzzle values and example arrangement
- For one documented arrangement, put two Void charges and one Arc charge into one generator (4 + 4 + 2 = 10). Use the remaining charges to bring the other generator to 10.
Defeat the encounter and claim the key
Charging both generators starts an enemy encounter. Defeat the enemies and the final boss; the boss drops the Divided Prismatic Key. Pick it up, then use it on the nearby Divided Prismatic chest to receive the Facet of Command. Walkthrough
If you cannot pick up a charge
Players reported being unable to pick up elemental charges in March 2025, and Bungie Support said it was aware of the issue and investigating. At that time, Bungie said there was no workaround or definite solution. The available information does not establish whether a later update fixed it, so check current Bungie patch notes or support for its status rather than assuming the issue is ongoing or resolved. If the key falls out of reach
In a June 2024 player report, the key fell outside the playable area after the boss encounter. That player said fast-traveling to The Impasse and returning brought it back within reach. This is an anecdotal suggestion, not a guaranteed recovery method. Player report
