The flying squirrel mount is Ty’aitya. To get it, reach Shared FATE rank 4 in every Dawntrail zone, buy 500 Turali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers, then exchange them with Edelina in Mor Dhona for the Ty’aitya Whistle.
What you need to get Ty’aitya
- Shared FATE rank 4 in every Dawntrail zone to unlock the voucher purchase.
- 500 Turali Bicolor Gemstone Vouchers. Each costs 100 bicolor gemstones, for a total of 50,000.
- Access to the voucher sellers Kajeel Ja in Tuliyollal or Beryl in Solution Nine, and to Edelina in Mor Dhona.
The voucher requirement, prices, and NPC details are listed by the community-maintained Turali Bicolor Gemstone Voucher and Ty’aitya pages. Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes confirm that FATEs in 7.0 areas award bicolor gemstones and that Gemstone Trader stock expands as you complete more FATEs.

Plan around the gemstone cap
Square Enix’s Patch 7.0 notes raised the maximum bicolor gemstone holding limit from 1,000 to 1,500. Since the mount costs 50,000 gemstones in total, you cannot save the full amount before buying vouchers. Once the voucher sellers are unlocked, buy vouchers as you earn currency, and keep any gemstones you need for other purchases in mind.

The official notes confirm FATE gemstone rewards and expanding trader stock, but do not give a fixed time or FATE count for earning the mount. Your pace depends on your own FATE rewards and farming speed, so use your Shared FATE panel and gemstone balance to track progress rather than relying on a universal hours estimate.
