The available sources do not confirm that the Shadow Ruby pack—also called Ruby Shadows—is currently offered, so there is no verified way to claim it right now. Its old challenge instructions describe a past offer, not a current unlock method.
How to check whether the pack is available
- Check Fortnite add-ons: Open the Epic Games Launcher, select Fortnite, choose Add-Ons, and browse the available packs. Epic warns that some DLC and add-ons may be unavailable because of rotation or expiration: Epic Games Player Support.
- Check the in-game Item Shop: Look for a Shadow Ruby or Ruby Shadows offer among the current items. Epic describes the Item Shop as a place to purchase special offers, bundles, outfits, and other cosmetics: Epic Games Player Support.
- Follow the listing’s own terms: If an official listing appears, use its displayed claim or purchase instructions. Epic’s general store guidance explains selecting an offer, signing in if prompted, and completing checkout; it does not establish that this particular pack is on sale: Epic Games Player Support.
If neither official location shows the pack, there is no verified current claim route to follow. Epic has not announced a return date or a platform-specific method for obtaining it.

Why old Ruby Shadows challenge guides may not work
Historical coverage called the offer the Ruby Shadows challenge pack and described cosmetics including the Ruby Shadows outfit. A verified gaming creator’s video published May 20, 2021, reported challenges involving playing matches with friends, outlasting opponents, and dealing damage: historical Ruby Shadows challenge coverage. Those are details of a past offer, not proof that the challenges or pack are available now.

It also says Player Support cannot grant missed items on request: Epic Games Player Support. This helps explain why an old challenge guide may no longer lead to the rewards, but it does not establish that Shadow Ruby is permanently retired.
