To get the Ghost of Broc Meala summon, side with the Queen Bee during the Confrontation Looks Like Hope questline, then complete her follow-up quest, Gifts For The Queen. Siding with Broc instead reportedly closes off that quest and its spell reward. The community-maintained Tainted Grail Wiki lists a requirement of 9 Spirituality.
How to start the questline
- Find Broc near the bridge leading to the Ancient Cromlech and talk to him about the Queen and the bees.
- Investigate the nearby area as directed by the quest. Bee swarms attack; defeat them to trigger the Ghost of Broc Meala’s appearance.
- Speak to the Ghost and receive the Queen’s invitation. This starts Confrontation Looks Like Hope.
Follow the quest marker to Broc Meala, a location in Horns of the South that becomes accessible as you progress through this questline. If you want the optional Broc Meala Set, the quest walkthrough says to speak to Broc after receiving the invitation and before traveling to Broc Meala.
Which choice leads to the spell?
At the Queen’s Chamber, choose the Queen Bee’s side. Follow her order to kill Broc, then report back to her and complete the follow-up quest, Gifts For The Queen. The community wiki lists that quest as the Ghost summon’s reward.

The walkthrough reports that Sting is a quest reward on either branch, but only the Queen-aligned choice preserves access to the follow-up quest for the summon.

Ghost of Broc Meala spell requirements and casts
The community spell entry lists the Ghost of Broc Meala as available in Act 1 and requiring 9 Spirituality. It describes two casts:
- Heavy cast: costs 75 mana and summons the Ghost to fight. The entry says this cost reduces maximum mana.
- Light cast, “Ray”: orders the summoned Ghost to attack a selected target.
These are community-wiki gameplay details and may differ by game version. Check your in-game journal and spell information if the quest steps or mechanics do not match.
