There are six Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge in Hell Is Us. To open each one, reach its entrance and enter the four emotions below in the listed order. You can also discover the locations and combinations in-game by taking Research Items to Tania at the APC.
All six vault locations and dial codes
Each vault uses a four-emotion dial, not a numeric code. Follow the sequence from left to right as you cycle through the emotions.

The Lake Cynon combination is reported differently by one unofficial fan wiki: it lists Terror as the final emotion, while Game8 and PCGamesN both list Ecstasy. The table uses Ecstasy, the sequence shared by those two guides. No official developer confirmation is established by the cited sources. Find the clues in-game or enter a known code
Use Tania’s research for the intended clue trail
Collect Research Items around Hadea and submit them to Tania at the APC once that story feature is available. Her research reveals a vault’s approximate location and code in the Datapad. This is the clue-led option if you want to discover each combination through exploration. Vandal’s vault guide.

Go straight to a vault if you already know its location and code
You do not need to wait for every clue before entering a known combination: Vandal reports that a vault can be opened as soon as you know its location and code. The dial uses named emotional keystones, so select the four emotions in order; do not mistake it for a nearby numeric gate or safe. Vandal’s vault guide; Hell Is Us Wiki’s code guide.
What vaults contain, and why explore them
Vault rewards include relics, glyphs, weapons, lore, collectibles, and consumables. Examples include the Gluttony and Wave of Wrath glyphs in Senedra Forest, enhanced glyphs and the Unbound Delusion Relic in Vyssa Hills, and four grade-4 weapons plus the Heart of the Griffon Relic in Acasa Marshes. PowerPyx’s guide index identifies six vaults and says opening one is required for the Vault Raider trophy or achievement; it also notes that items found in vaults count toward other trophy or achievement objectives. An unofficial fan wiki reports 45 Research Items across six categories and says full research completion is needed for research-related trophies. Those details are not independently confirmed by the other cited guides, so treat them as fan-guide reporting rather than a verified requirement for opening the six vaults.
