How to Get the Hidden Gerudo Sanctum Chest in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

To reach the 50-rupee chest hidden behind a wall in Gerudo Sanctum, go to the Still World area, Stilled Gerudo Sanctum, and use a Holmill Echo on the small sand patch just left of the waypoint. Drop through the hole it digs to enter the chest room.

How to reach the chest behind the wall

1. Progress through Gerudo Sanctum until you reach the Still World area, Stilled Gerudo Sanctum. The dungeon’s route moves between its interior and the Still World, as described in Nintendo Life’s dungeon walkthrough.

2. Find the waypoint in Stilled Gerudo Sanctum. Look for a small sand patch just to its left.

3. Summon a Holmill Echo on the sand patch. It will dig a hole.

4. Drop through the hole to enter the room with the previously inaccessible chest. Open it to collect 50 rupees, then warp back to the waypoint if you want to continue along the Still World route. Zelda Dungeon’s walkthrough and Prima Games’ guide describe this route and reward.

Why the chest seems unreachable

The chest is accessed from the Still World side, not by breaking through the solid wall from inside the room. The intended entrance is the hole made by the Holmill Echo in the sand beside the waypoint.

Gerudo Sanctum has several chests with different locations and routes. These instructions are for the chest described as hidden or previously unreachable behind a wall; if you mean another chest, a screenshot or a description of the room can help identify it.

The Holmill is an in-game Echo, not a physical item or accessory. Nintendo’s U.S. store page lists the Nintendo Switch game, released September 26, 2024, and describes its Echo mechanic.
