To get the Immunity Mantle in Monster Hunter: World, fully research 15 monsters, reach Hunter Rank 14 or higher, and speak to the Armory to unlock the ★8 optional quest A Blaze on the Sand. Slay Teostra in the Wildspire Waste to receive the mantle as the quest’s special reward.
Unlock A Blaze on the Sand
- Reach Hunter Rank 14 or higher.
- Fully research 15 monsters. The required research threshold varies by monster, so check each monster’s research information rather than relying on a single level target.
- Speak to the Armory. This makes the ★8 optional quest A Blaze on the Sand available.
- Accept the quest, hunt Teostra in the Wildspire Waste, and slay it. The quest listing names the Immunity Mantle as a special reward. See the optional quest listing.
If the quest is not available
Check that 15 monsters are fully researched, confirm you are HR14 or higher, and speak to the Armory again. The available quest reference does not document additional prerequisites, so other quest-chain requirements are not established here.

What the Immunity Mantle does
The mantle clears abnormal statuses and grants temporary immunity from them. It is listed as rarity 4 in the equipment listing. That listing does not specify the effect’s duration, and the supported description does not establish immunity to every environmental effect.
Base-game unlock and Iceborne
A Blaze on the Sand is the base-game route to the mantle. Iceborne is a separate expansion; Capcom says players must complete the base-game campaign and reach Hunter Rank 16 to access the Iceborne campaign and quests.
