To get Jimothy for free in Fortnite, find a Dumpster Dive Sprite in a Battle Royale match and extract it at a physical Sprite Extraction Site. The hidden objective is reported to be called “Extract A Silly Little Guy”; after completing it, check your Locker for Jimothy.
Steps to unlock Jimothy
- Start a Battle Royale match.
- Find a Dumpster Dive Sprite. VICE reported finding these in Trick or Treat Cheat Codes and said any variant counted in its test. VICE’s Jimothy guide describes the reported objective.
- Take the Sprite to a physical Sprite Extraction Site and complete the extraction. Use a normal site rather than a portable extractor: VICE said a portable extractor did not count in its launch-day test. That is a reported test result, not an official rule published by Epic.
- Return to the lobby and check your Locker. Jimothy should appear there after the objective is completed, according to VICE and Shacknews’ unlock guide.
What to know about the unlock
The guides describe Jimothy as a free gameplay unlock, not a V-Bucks purchase. Epic’s Sidekicks announcement explains that Sidekicks are customizable companions that accompany players in Fortnite experiences, but it does not document Jimothy’s specific objective.
The reported unlock details come from guides published on October 1, 2026; Epic has not provided Jimothy-specific instructions in the cited announcement. The sources do not establish an availability deadline, so check the current in-game quest information if you are trying to determine whether the objective is still active.
