To get the LGM-1 in Astra Malorum, collect four parts, then complete three trap trials involving O.S.C.A.R. Defeat O.S.C.A.R. during the final trial and the weapon drops. If you want to skip the quest, the LGM-1 can also appear in the Mystery Box in Mars Survival, but that route is chance-based.
What the LGM-1 does
The LGM-1, or “Little Green Menace,” fires partly autonomous saucer-like projectiles. They seek nearby targets, track and circle enemies, then return to the weapon to replenish. Call of Duty described the weapon in its November 24, 2025 Season 01 announcement.

Prepare Astra Malorum
- Follow the orange quest markers to repair the oculus and complete the guided steps to turn on power.
- Activate Pack-a-Punch.
- Save salvage to install Cryo Freeze, and leave the purple Aether crystals intact until you have it.
The quest steps below are described in GameSpot’s December 5, 2025 Astra Malorum guide. The cited guide is not an independent check of the October 2026 live game build, so a later patch may affect a step.

Three Absolute Zero fragments
Equip Cryo Freeze on a gun, then shoot three separate purple Aether crystals around the map. Pick up the fragments they drop. Keep other crystals available if possible: a failed Museum Infinitum rocket trial requires three more fragments for another attempt.

Wiring
Look around the exterior for the single blinking outdoor light that appears during the match. Shoot it and collect the Wiring.
Battery
Pack-a-Punch a weapon, return to Ol’ Tessie at spawn, and shoot the truck’s hood. Pick up the Battery it drops.

Damaged Drone
Once Pack-a-Punch is active, O.S.C.A.R. begins appearing with hovering drones. Destroy one drone and collect its dropped part. Keep O.S.C.A.R. alive until you are ready to use it in the trials.

Complete O.S.C.A.R.’s three trap trials
The trials can be completed in any order once you have the parts. Attempting them near the end of a round, with only one or two zombies left, can reduce pressure while you work.

Luminarium: overcharge the battery trap
- Place the Battery part in the Luminarium trap.
- Keep O.S.C.A.R. close to the trap until the overcharge meter fills.
- Destroy O.S.C.A.R.’s protective drones so it is vulnerable to the trap.
If the meter fills while the drones are still shielding O.S.C.A.R., the attempt fails; try again in a later round.
Observatory Dome: align the telescope
- In the Pack-a-Punch room, find and shoot five broken steam valves. Listen for hissing and check both levels.
- Bring O.S.C.A.R. near the Pack-a-Punch machine and interact with the telescope trap.
- Adjust the viewfinder until the sun is aligned. The beam strikes the area between Pack-a-Punch and the trap.
Museum Infinitum: fire the rocket trap
- Lead O.S.C.A.R. close to the back of the rocket trap.
- While O.S.C.A.R. is in range, trigger the trap controls; the rockets fire only briefly.
If this trial fails, gather three more Absolute Zero fragments and try again.

Defeat O.S.C.A.R. and collect the weapon
Defeat O.S.C.A.R. during the final trial. It drops the LGM-1, and the guide says the quest awards one weapon regardless of party size.

Yes. The LGM-1 can appear in the Mystery Box in Mars Survival, as confirmed by Call of Duty’s January 2026 Zombies update and a Blizzard post. This avoids the multi-part Astra Malorum quest, but the result depends on a box spin. The cited official sources do not publish the LGM-1’s drop odds.
