The player earning the badge needs to make the catch. Since the requirement may change between game versions, check the live condition in Pause menu → Accolades before setting up your attempt.
Find a Flying Disc
Look around the outside of the crashed plane in the Shore biome. The disc is reported outside the plane, rather than among the items inside it, and its spawn can vary with the map. It takes up an inventory slot, so consider attempting the badge early if your group wants to save room for other supplies later in the climb.
Set up a long-distance catch
- Choose open ground. A broad, relatively flat area makes it easier to see the throw and reduces the chance that terrain or obstacles will stop the disc. Mesa or the beginning of Tropics are suggested locations, but they are not guaranteed to appear on every map.
- Assign the catcher. The player who wants the badge should catch the disc; having that player throw it is not the described requirement.
- Estimate the separation. The game does not display the distance between players, so you will need to judge whether the throw spans at least 100 metres.
- Throw and catch, then check the result. If the badge does not appear, spread farther apart and try again. Open terrain and a larger estimated gap can make the attempt easier, but neither guarantees the accolade.
Check the requirement and progress in Accolades
Open the pause menu and select Accolades to view the badge condition and your progress. Treat the condition shown in your game as the reference for your version: the 100-metre requirement is documented in published guides, but it has not been independently confirmed for the live version on 8 October 2026. A community badge list published on 13 August 2026 reported 64 badges, but that is a dated snapshot, not a guaranteed current total.
