How to get Toxel in Pokémon GO
The documented route is hatching Eggs. Pokémon GO’s May 2025 Growing Up announcement listed Toxel among the Pokémon hatching from 10 km Eggs from May 2–7, 2025, and said, “After the event ends, Toxel may still hatch from 10 km Eggs.” That is a historical statement, not confirmation that Toxel remains in the pool in October 2026. Toxel also appeared in 10 km Eggs during the November 2024 Into the Wild event, according to the official event announcement.
The available official announcements do not establish Toxel’s current Egg availability, an active encounter route, or regional availability. Check the Egg details shown in your game and current Pokémon GO event news before planning around a particular Egg distance or event. No hatch odds are established here.
How to hatch Eggs while walking
Place an Egg in an incubator and cover the distance shown for that Egg in-game. A paired Poké Ball Plus can measure travel distance for Egg hatching and Buddy Candy, as described by Pokémon Support. It is optional and does not increase the chance of hatching Toxel.

How to evolve Toxel into Toxtricity
Niantic’s evolution guidance says the Candy requirement varies by Pokémon and appears on that Pokémon’s summary screen. If you do not have enough Candy, the game will not let you evolve it. A community-maintained POGO Tracker reference lists Toxel’s evolution cost as 400 Toxel Candy; check the evolve button and preview in your game for the requirement shown on your Pokémon before committing.

The reference reports that evolving Toxel produces either Amped Form or Low Key Form at random, rather than letting the player select one. The official Pokédex entry for Toxel identifies both forms in Toxtricity’s evolution path, but it does not document Pokémon GO’s selection mechanic. The available evidence does not support choosing a form through nature, time of day, or another main-series method.
