Nexon’s May 21, 2026 Update 1.3.28 lists her research material as Archive Shard; find eligible activities in the World Map Library, farm the shards, then submit the displayed recipe in Research. The patch notes do not give her exact shard cost or research time, so check the live in-game entry before you start.
How to unlock Ultimate Freyna
- Check the World Map Library. Look up Archive Shard to see the detailed acquisition locations Nexon directs players to use.
- Run eligible Hard Mode Infiltration Operations. Nexon says Archive Shards drop from Hard Mode Infiltration Operations and above, subject to the exclusions below. Use the Library’s current list to choose where to farm.
- Open Research and select Ultimate Freyna. Follow the recipe shown in the live interface and gather the listed materials.
- Start the research. Submit the completed requirements in Research to begin unlocking her.
The official patch notes reviewed here do not state Ultimate Freyna’s shard quantity, research duration, or any additional prerequisites. Use the current Research entry for those details rather than relying on an older guide.

Where Archive Shards drop
Update 1.3.28 says Archive Shards drop from Hard Mode Infiltration Operations and above, but excludes several activities. Its May 21, 2026 exclusion list names:
- Field Missions on Normal or Hard
- Normal Sigma Sector
- Normal Assumed Bridge Zone
- Void Erosion Purge
- Void Intercept Battle
- Wall Crasher
- Void Axium
- Breach Tracking
- Onslaught Mode
- Void Axium Mining
- Bounty Operations
Because activity availability and drop rules can change, check the World Map Library for the live locations and eligible activities before committing to a farming route. Nexon’s update identifies the Library as the place for detailed acquisition locations: Update 1.3.28 patch notes.

Why older Ultimate Freyna guides show Amorphous Materials
Ultimate Freyna was added in Update 1.1.4 on October 10, 2024. That original route used four component blueprints—Enhanced Cells, Stabilizer, Spiral Catalyst, and Code—obtained from AB variants of Amorphous Material Patterns 012, 039, 046, 054, 063, 067, 079, 083, 097, 100, 119, and 127. Nexon said the base pattern versions could no longer be acquired, though copies players already had remained usable. Those details describe the original method, not the Archive Shard category listed in the newer Research system. Update 1.1.4 patch notes; Update 1.3.28 patch notes.
In the May 21, 2026 Update 1.3.28, Nexon lists Ultimate Freyna among Descendants whose research material is Archive Shard. The update also distinguishes Descendants who still use blueprints shaped from Amorphous Materials. For the current route, follow the Research recipe in your game rather than farming the old AB patterns because a guide lists them. Update 1.3.28 patch notes.

What to verify in-game before farming
- Archive Shard locations: Check the World Map Library for the current acquisition locations.
- Activity eligibility: Confirm that the activity you plan to run is listed as eligible; the May 2026 patch notes include explicit exclusions.
- Recipe and requirements: Open Research, select Ultimate Freyna, and use the exact materials and quantities shown there.
- Research duration: Use the timer displayed in Research; the cited patch notes do not specify it.
Nexon’s relevant notes are Update 1.1.4 (October 10, 2024) and Update 1.3.28 (May 21, 2026). The in-game Research and Library interfaces are the practical references for the current recipe and farming locations.
