First identify who issued the ban. If you were banned from one privately operated server, appeal to that server’s administrator. If Minecraft restricted your account, use Minecraft’s Case Review process only if the enforcement is active, lasts longer than 24 hours, and was issued within the last 12 months. An appeal asks for a review; it does not guarantee reinstatement.
Identify which ban you have
“Server ban” can mean either a restriction imposed by one independently operated server or an account-level enforcement from Minecraft. The appeal authority and process differ, so check the ban notice and the service you can no longer access before taking action.

Appeal a ban from a privately operated server
Minecraft directs players banned or suspended from a privately owned server to contact that server’s administrator to appeal. Minecraft Help does not establish a universal form, evidence checklist, review period, or success rate for these appeals; the server sets its own process.
- Read the ban notice and the server’s rules, including any appeal instructions.
- Contact the administrator through the route the server provides.
- Identify the account and the ban notice, then explain what happened from your perspective and address the stated reason directly.
- If you broke a rule, acknowledge it and explain relevant context. Include evidence if it helps clarify the incident.
Appeal a Minecraft account enforcement
Use Minecraft’s official Case Review guidance and submit a review only when all three eligibility conditions apply: the action is still active, its duration is longer than 24 hours, and it was issued within the previous 12 months. Minecraft Community Standards

Follow the instructions in the enforcement notice. Explain the specific reason you believe the action should be reviewed or provide relevant new information. Microsoft’s general appeals guidance says human reviewers consider the reason for the enforcement and any new information; Minecraft’s published Case Review criteria determine whether a Minecraft action is eligible. Why Minecraft may restrict an account
Minecraft’s Community Standards prohibit hate speech, terrorist or violent extremist content, bullying, harassment, sexual solicitation, fraud, and threats. Minecraft says violations of its Community Standards or EULA may result in suspension or a permanent ban. Community Standards · Minecraft EULA

What will not remove the ban
Changing a gamertag or profile name is not an appeal or an unban remedy: Minecraft Help says account bans are associated with the unique Microsoft account ID. Do not try to evade a restriction with another account or technical workarounds. The appropriate route is to appeal to the authority that issued the ban.
