To get the Expedition Motorbike in Wuthering Waves (WuWa), progress through Main Quest Chapter III Prologue into Lahai-Roi and follow the motorbike tutorial when it appears. The bike is summoned and configured through the Utility wheel. Its functions are upgraded by completing Motorbike Modding Tasks, earning module-specific Modding Points, and spending those points on modules.
How to get the Expedition Motorbike
The Expedition Motorbike is an in-game Utility associated with exploring Lahai-Roi. Kuro Games’ Version 3.0 update notice says the region is reached during Main Quest Chapter III Prologue, “When the Unknown Thrums.” The Version 3.0 patch notes also list the exploration quest “No. 1 Biker.”
Progress through the Lahai-Roi story and follow the motorbike tutorial or quest when it appears. The cited official passages establish the story and region context, but do not specify the exact quest step that first grants the bike; check the live quest screen rather than relying on a particular unlock step. It is not tied to owning a specific Resonator or buying a real-world vehicle.
How to summon and ride it
Open the Utility wheel to summon the motorbike and adjust its related settings. You cannot summon it during combat or when there is not enough room. The Version 3.0 notes list four core riding functions:
Recommended Free Tools
#1 Best Overall
- Realistic feel of a real bike
- The satisfaction of owning a motorcycle
- Upgradeable with optional items
- Acceleration: Move forward on the bike.
- Boost: Increase traversal speed where the location permits it.
- Drift: Maneuver through turns.
- Bounce Jump: Jump while riding; later module upgrades can add to this function.
Where riding is restricted
Motorbike use depends on location. Some areas do not allow it, and Startorch Academy campus grounds impose a speed limit and restrict Boost. On decorated roads, riding and boosting do not consume Energy, according to the surfaced in-game tutorial text.
What happens when the bike takes damage
A force field appears around the motorbike while it is moving. If the field is depleted, damage or crowd control can make your Resonator dismount. This defensive effect is separate from the bike’s traversal controls.

How to upgrade motorbike modules
Upgrades come from the Motorbike Modding system: tasks award Modding Points for particular modules, and points are spent on those modules to unlock functions. Task availability can vary; the game reference describes permanent, limited-time, and recurring task categories, so check the current modding screen for what is available.
- Open the motorbike’s module or modding interface. Exact menu labels can vary with the current client.
- Review the Motorbike Modding Tasks and note which ones award points for the module you want.
- Complete the relevant tasks and collect their Modding Points.
- Spend those points on the corresponding module to unlock its function.
- If multiple modules are available, check the motorbike interface or Utility wheel to select one.
Points are module-specific: completing tasks is not, by itself, the upgrade. You need to spend the points on the module you want to improve.

Later aerial features and module switching
Version 3.3 added aerial capabilities through Main Quest progression, so these are later features rather than part of the initial bike setup. At a certain height, the motorbike can enter a glide state by spending Aerial Energy. While gliding, Boost Energy can be used to dash without descending during the dash.
Aerial Tactics Expansion Module
The Aerial Tactics Expansion Module is unlocked during the Version 3.3 Main Quest. The Version 3.3 patch record says you can switch modules from the Motorbike Expansion Module page or the Expansion Module Switch in the Vehicle section of the Utility wheel. Only one Expansion Module can be active at a time.

- The rotational speed of the motor can be changed and increased. Parameters can be freely adjusted using the module.
Core Modules remain effective when you switch tactic modules, while Combat Modules change with the selected Expansion Module. Charged Leap is a Core Module available from the module screen: hold Bounce Jump to activate it. It can hold up to three charges, which replenish over time while the bike is on the ground.

Liveries and other appearance options customize how the motorbike looks; they are separate from module upgrades. The Version 3.2 and 3.3 update records mention livery rewards and rear-seat accessories, respectively. The cited notes do not say that liveries improve performance.
