If your vocation is Thief, try Pilfer or Plunder during the fight for a chance at extra materials. Before spending crystals with the Dragonforged, save 15 if you are approaching the relevant step in A New Godsway.
Where to find draconic enemies
Drakes and other draconic enemies are the primary source of Wyrmslife Crystals. PowerPyx lists the following as possible encounter areas; treat them as candidate locations, not guaranteed repeatable spawns. Availability can depend on story progress and world state.

Try Pilfer or Plunder with a Thief
A Thief can attempt to use Pilfer or Plunder while fighting a draconic enemy. These skills may add crystals to your haul, but the guides do not document a guaranteed result or a reliable success rate, so consider them a bonus rather than your main plan.

Save 15 crystals for A New Godsway
PowerPyx’s 2024 walkthrough reports that a step in A New Godsway requires 15 Wyrmslife Crystals. If you have not passed that step, keep at least 15 before using crystals for optional exchanges; this is the walkthrough’s reported quest amount, not an independently verified official statistic. What to spend Wyrmslife Crystals on
The Dragonforged at Bay Wayside Shrine, northeast of Bakbattahl, is the relevant NPC for crystal-based services. A cited guide describes using crystals for high-order equipment enhancement or exchanging them for items, including travel and combat items. The guide identifies the fourth upgrade level as the maximum in its context; stock and availability may depend on game state. - Prioritize the quest: Set aside the reported 15-crystal amount if you still need to complete the relevant A New Godsway step.
- Enhance gear: Consider spending on equipment you expect to keep using, rather than upgrading a piece you will soon replace.
- Exchange for items: Weigh the immediate usefulness of an available item against saving crystals for the quest or equipment.
What is not established about farming
The cited guides do not establish exact crystals per enemy, a universal respawn timer, or a reliable crystals-per-hour figure. Encounter availability and yields should therefore be treated as variable; no listed location is guaranteed to provide a repeatable supply in every world state.
