To get paid by Twitch, complete payout onboarding in your Creator Dashboard, meet the minimum balance for your payout method, and keep your payment details valid. Twitch generally initiates eligible payouts around the 15th of the month after you earn the revenue; you can track progress and payment status in Payout History.

Complete Twitch payout onboarding

Earning revenue alone does not trigger a payment. Your account must complete onboarding and be eligible for payout. Twitch’s Affiliate onboarding guide describes the setup process for Affiliates; Partners should use their Partner settings and onboarding flow.

  1. Open your onboarding settings. For an Affiliate, go to Creator Dashboard → Monetization → Affiliate. For a Partner, use Partner settings and follow the onboarding prompts.
  2. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA). Twitch requires 2FA for Affiliates and Partners. Follow the on-screen steps, including phone verification if prompted.
  3. Enter your account details and complete the tax interviews. Have your legal name, date of birth, country of residence, and any applicable tax identification number ready. Complete every tax interview shown for your account; the required forms vary by region. Keep your name and other details consistent across your account and tax interviews, since mismatches can cause payout problems.
  4. Select a payout method offered for your location. Options may include direct deposit/ACH, check, wire transfer, PayPal, or holding payouts. Local bank or SEPA transfer and eCheck may be available in some regions. Check the options and fees displayed in your own payout settings; availability and processor fees vary, and incorrect payment information can lead to rejected-payment fees.

Meet the payout minimum and check your status

Twitch’s stated minimum is $50 USD for most methods, including ACH/direct deposit, eCheck/local bank, PayPal, and check. Wire transfer has a $100 USD minimum. These are Twitch’s published thresholds; your available methods and payout eligibility depend on your location and account status. See Twitch’s payout FAQ for the current guidance.

If your balance is below the minimum, it rolls forward rather than being paid out. Use Creator Dashboard → Payout History to see estimated pay, progress toward the threshold, eligibility, and whether a payment has been submitted or rejected.

Know when a Twitch payout arrives

Twitch generally initiates eligible payouts on or around the 15th of the month after the revenue was earned. For example, revenue earned in one month is not eligible for payout until the following month. You need to have met the applicable threshold, completed onboarding, and have valid payout details and an eligible account status.

After Twitch submits a payment, its help article gives these approximate processing times. They are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates, and weekends or public holidays can add delays:

Payout method Approximate processing time after submission
ACH 3–5 days
eCheck/local bank 1–4 days
PayPal 1–2 days
Check 1–2 weeks
Wire transfer 1–3 days

Twitch says payouts are made in USD. Converting a payout to local currency can incur an exchange fee of up to 2.5%. Eligible Eurozone creators may be able to receive EUR by local bank/SEPA transfer instead; confirm availability and fees in your account. A payout may also include taxes and fees, with a detailed breakdown in Payout History.

Choose a payout method that fits your situation

Compare the options actually shown in your settings by availability, minimum balance, fees, delivery time, and whether you want payouts sent automatically or held. Twitch’s Payout Details FAQ explains payment options and related details, but your account is the place to confirm what is currently available to you.

Troubleshoot a late or rejected payout

  1. Check Payout History. Review your balance, eligibility, and whether the payment is submitted, processing, or rejected.
  2. Verify the payment and tax details. Check that the payout method and account information are valid and that names and other details match across your Twitch account and tax interviews. For PayPal, Twitch says your country, real name, and PayPal email information should match the information held by PayPal.
  3. Follow the rejection email if the payment failed. Twitch’s payment rejection email gives instructions for resolving the specific issue.
  4. Change payout information through your account settings. Use Affiliate or Partner settings. Twitch requires password confirmation and 2FA to access payout changes.
  5. Make changes well before the payout run. Twitch’s onboarding guide recommends making changes before the 10th, while its Payout Details FAQ warns that changes after the 8th may not be reflected in that month’s payout. To allow for both guidelines, aim to finish changes before the 8th and confirm your status in the dashboard. Updating payment details can temporarily make your account unpayable while onboarding or changes are completed.
  6. Contact Twitch Support if a payment is pending and the timing is unclear. Twitch recommends contacting Support before changing details when a payout is pending.
