If Roblox banned your account, start with the moderation notification: follow the appeal route it gives you. Depending on the violation, you may appeal through Violations & Appeals or Roblox Support. A successful appeal is not guaranteed. If you were banned from only one experience, contact its creator; if you simply cannot sign in, use account recovery instead.
First, identify what kind of ban or access problem you have

How to appeal a Roblox account ban
- Open the moderation notification. Check which account and moderation action it names, then use its appeal link or follow its instructions.
- Choose the route the notice provides. If the violation appears in Violations & Appeals, submit your appeal there and use that interface to check its status. If the violation is not listed or the notice directs you to Support, submit the appeal through the Roblox Support appeal process.
- Give the information needed to review the case. For a Support-form account appeal, provide your Roblox username and a concise, factual explanation of why the decision should be reviewed. Submit from a valid email address associated with the account. Roblox says only the account owner may appeal, subject to its privacy rules.
- Send one appeal within the applicable deadline. Roblox’s general published deadline is 30 days after the moderation action affecting the account. EU users have six months to appeal an initial moderation action under Roblox’s published guidance. For regional rights and current rules, consult the Roblox Terms of Use.
- Wait for the review. Roblox may adjust a moderation decision, but its Appeals guidance says: “Submitting an appeal does not guarantee the consequence will be removed.”
What to include in your appeal
Keep your explanation brief, specific, and accurate. Identify the moderation action and explain the facts that you believe Roblox should consider. If you think the action was applied to the wrong account or misunderstood something you did, describe that clearly. Do not submit a long, repeated argument or claim facts you cannot support.
Roblox does not publish a success rate for appeals in the cited guidance, so there is no reliable percentage to use when estimating the chance of getting an account back. The moderation overview says consequences can depend on a violation’s severity and impact, and that account history and repeated violations may affect the consequence. Decisions may involve manual processes, automated processes, or both; no particular appeal argument or clean history guarantees reversal. Deadlines, repeat appeals, and regional rules
- General deadline: Roblox’s appeal page says to appeal within 30 days of the moderation action affecting the account.
- EU initial actions: Roblox’s guidance gives EU users six months to appeal an initial moderation action and describes certified out-of-court dispute settlement rights under the Digital Services Act.
- UK rights: Roblox’s moderation guidance also describes appeal rights under the Online Safety Act. Regional processes can differ, so check Roblox’s current terms and regional support information if those rights apply to you.
- No duplicate appeals: Roblox says it will not review an action again once it has reviewed it, and duplicate appeals for the same moderation action will not be reviewed. Submit a careful appeal rather than sending the same case repeatedly.
If the problem is a single experience ban or a sign-in failure
Banned from one experience
An experience-level ban is not the same as a Roblox account ban. Roblox says users banned by an experience creator should contact that creator; Roblox’s account appeal route is not the route for overturning a creator’s decision.
Forgotten password or lost access
Use Roblox password recovery with the email address or phone number associated with the account. If neither is linked, contact Customer Support. Roblox requires ownership verification before it can reset the account or change its information. This process restores access credentials; it does not appeal or remove a moderation action.

After you regain access
To reduce the chance of future sign-in trouble, Roblox offers two-step verification. It is an account-security measure, not a way to reverse moderation.
