How to find Steam Replay 2025 in the desktop client
The 2025-era Steam client route was:
- Open Steam.
- Select Store, not the Library tab.
- Find the Steam Replay 2025 promotional banner on the Store home page.
- Select Review your Year on Steam, or the equivalent Replay button shown by your client.
Steam periodically changes Store layouts and promotional placements, so the banner may be missing even when your Replay page is available. If you do not see it, use the direct browser address above. The launch route and client instructions were also documented by Windows Central and Destructoid.

How to find it on Steam Deck or another SteamOS handheld
In the reported SteamOS interface, use:
- Press the Steam button.
- Select Store.
- Move to the More tab.
- Select Steam Replay.
- Scroll through the recap with the Deck controls.
If Steam Replay is absent from the Store:
- Open Steam → Settings → System → Software Updates.
- Install any available SteamOS update.
- Restart the Deck or handheld.
- Try Store → More → Steam Replay again.
- If it is still missing, open the direct URL in Desktop Mode or another browser.
The direct website is the better fallback because SteamOS Store tabs and promotional entries can change between client versions.
What Steam Replay 2025 shows
Steam Replay is Valve’s annual personal summary of Steam activity. It is not a replay video, a game-specific replay system, or a recording of your matches. It should not be confused with Steam’s Game Recording feature, Team Fortress 2’s historical Replay system, or Valve’s global year-end sales and Best of Steam charts. Valve describes the feature as a personal look back at a user’s year on Steam in its official Steam announcement archive.
The 2025 recap can include the following sections, although the exact sections shown can differ between accounts:
| Section | What it can show |
|---|---|
| Games played | Your total number of games played, along with new games and, in some cases, demos or playtests. |
| Top games | Your most-played titles, their share of Replay playtime, and the number of sessions for leading games. |
| Achievements | Achievements unlocked during the covered period. |
| Activity over time | Playtime by month, a monthly timeline, and a grid or calendar-style view of activity. |
| Playing streak | Your longest streak of consecutive days played and the games involved in that streak. |
| Genres | A genre distribution, including a spider or radar-style graph in the Replay interface. |
| Game age | Breakdowns involving new, recent, and classic releases. |
| Controls and devices | Keyboard-and-mouse versus controller use, plus PC, Steam Deck, and other device categories where Steam can identify them. |
| Community comparisons | Comparisons with Steam-community median values for selected statistics. |
| Sharing | A shareable Replay page and highlight images. |

Does Steam Replay show your exact total hours?
Do not assume that Steam Replay will give you one definitive number for every hour played during the year. Reports often describe it as a total-playtime recap, but the 2025 presentation can emphasize the percentage of Replay playtime assigned to each game and the number of sessions rather than displaying a clear absolute annual-hours total.

Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →In other words, Steam Replay is best treated as a playtime distribution summary. If you need an exact total, check individual Steam game statistics where available, keep your own records, or use a third-party statistics service carefully. Third-party sites are not official Steam tools and may require public profile data.
Why some games or hours are missing
A missing title does not necessarily mean that Steam lost your data. Replay has a defined cutoff and several types of activity may be excluded or displayed differently.
The 2025 Replay cutoff is December 14
The recap includes activity from January 1 through December 14, 2025, in GMT. Gaming during the final two weeks of December 2025 belongs to neither the 2025 Replay summary as presented nor a normal full-year total. This is the most likely explanation if holiday play is absent. The cutoff and excluded activity were reported by GameSpot.
Offline play is not counted
Playtime accumulated while Steam was disconnected or in Offline Mode may not be included. If you played on a long trip, used an offline device, or launched a game before Steam could synchronize, Replay can show much less activity than you remember.

Private games may be omitted
Steam’s Mark as Private setting hides a game’s ownership, playtime, and activity from other users. Reports about Steam Replay indicate that a private game may be omitted from the Replay or from its public-facing, shareable presentation. See Steam Support’s explanation of private games.
Do not assume that changing the game back to public after the cutoff will restore it to your 2025 Replay. Community reports have been inconsistent, and Steam has handled Replay regeneration differently across years. If privacy is important, review your setting before sharing the recap.
Hidden games are not the same as private games
A hidden game is primarily an organizational setting that removes a title from your Library view. A private game hides ownership, playtime, and activity from other Steam users. Hiding a game does not automatically mean that its activity is excluded from Replay, so do not use the two settings interchangeably.
Demos, playtests, and prerelease apps can be classified differently
Some demos and playtests can appear as separate activity in Replay. However, Steam may exclude or handle differently certain unreleased games, preloads, prerelease builds, beta apps, or disabled app states. The exact result depends on how Steam classified that app and session; not every demo or playtest is guaranteed to count in the same way.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteOther common explanations
- You were signed in to a different Steam account when playing.
- The activity occurred after the December 14 GMT cutoff.
- The game was private at the relevant time or is hidden from the public version of the recap.
- You played through another launcher or outside Steam, so Steam did not record it as Steam app activity.
- The page or client was showing stale data.
How to share your Steam Replay
- Open the full Replay page.
- Select Share.
- Choose the desired visibility setting, such as private, friends-only, or public, if those options are shown.
- Copy the link, share it through Steam or another platform, or download a highlight image where available.
Check the visibility setting before copying the link. A private or friends-only Replay may not be viewable by everyone who receives the URL. Some versions of the sharing interface also provide language options. The available buttons can vary between the web page, desktop client, and mobile app.

How to get the Steam Replay 2025 badge
Viewing the Replay was reported to unlock a Steam Replay 2025 profile badge. Open the recap while signed in, then check your Steam profile’s badge collection if the badge does not immediately appear. Badge tracking is also listed by SteamDB.
The badge and the profile showcase are separate:
- Badge: associated with viewing the Replay.
- Showcase: an optional profile section that displays Replay information to visitors.
Do not rely on older guides that promise a specific XP amount. Some 2024 coverage mentioned 50 XP, but that figure should not automatically be applied to the 2025 badge.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to put Steam Replay 2025 on your profile
If the Replay page offers a feature-on-profile option, using it is usually the simplest route. Otherwise, try this general profile path:
Recommended Free Tools
- Open your Steam profile.
- Select Edit Profile.
- Open the showcase manager or choose an option to add a showcase.
- Select the Steam Replay showcase.
- Choose 2025 if the interface offers more than one Replay year.
- Save the profile.
If the showcase is not available, open the complete 2025 Replay page first, confirm that its visibility is not private, and then reopen Edit Profile. To verify what other people can see, inspect your public profile while logged out or in a private browser window.
Showcases use profile slots. Steam’s support documentation explains that profile levels provide additional showcase slots at each 10-level increment, and other showcase items may be available through the Points Shop. See Steam’s profile showcase guidance. Older Replay showcases have also experienced caching, visibility, and year-selection problems, so a missing or incorrect year is not necessarily a problem with your underlying statistics.

Steam Replay 2025 troubleshooting checklist
Work through these steps in order:
- Confirm the account. Check the account name and avatar. Wrong-account login is a common reason for seeing the wrong game library or activity; Steam provides general account troubleshooting through Steam Support.
- Use the direct address. Open the 2025 Replay URL in a regular desktop browser. If it redirects to login, sign in and reopen it.
- Try the Store page. In the desktop client, open Store rather than Library. On a Deck, check Store → More.
- Restart Steam. Close and relaunch the client, then try the Replay page again.
- Update the client or SteamOS. An outdated Store interface may not show a current promotional entry. On Steam Deck, use Steam → Settings → System → Software Updates.
- Try another browser. If the mobile app opens a blank or stale page, use the direct link in a desktop browser, phone browser, or Steam Deck Desktop Mode.
- Check the dates. Activity after December 14, 2025, is not part of this Replay.
- Check how you played. Offline sessions, non-Steam launcher activity, and certain prerelease or disabled app states may not be represented.
- Check privacy settings. A private game may not appear in the recap or in a public share. Changing it later is not guaranteed to regenerate the frozen 2025 data.
- Allow for display problems. If a profile showcase shows the wrong year or is missing, open the desired year’s full Replay page, select the year again in the showcase manager, save, and check the public profile in a private window.
Restarting, changing browsers, and checking for stale Store data are practical troubleshooting measures reported by users; they are not guaranteed Valve fixes. If the Replay itself remains inaccessible after confirming the account and URL, Steam Support is the appropriate escalation route.
Can you view older Steam Replays?
The 2025 Replay page reportedly includes controls for earlier years, including 2022, 2023, and 2024. You can also try these year-specific addresses:
https://store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2022https://store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2023https://store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2024https://store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2025
These links are a convenience, not a promise that Steam will preserve every historical page or the same URL scheme permanently. Older Replay showcases and year selectors have had bugs involving visibility, caching, and the selected year.
When did Steam Replay 2025 launch?
Steam Replay 2025 was publicly released on December 16, 2025. Some coverage was dated December 17 because of publication timing or local time zones, but December 16 is the stronger release date. The feature was reported by GameSpot and Destructoid.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my December 2025 gaming missing from Steam Replay?
Steam Replay 2025 ends at the last second of December 14, 2025, in GMT. Activity from December 15 through December 31 is outside the recap’s data period.
Will unhiding or unprivating a game make it appear in Steam Replay 2025?
Not necessarily. Hidden and private are different Steam settings, and a private game may be omitted from the Replay or its public version. Steam has not provided a reliable guarantee that changing the setting after the cutoff will regenerate the 2025 recap.
Is Steam Replay the same as Steam Game Recording?
No. Steam Replay is an annual summary of account activity. Game Recording captures gameplay footage and is a separate Steam feature.
Quick Recap
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: sign in and open https://store.steampowered.com/replay/my/2025. If your statistics look incomplete, first check the account, the December 14 GMT cutoff, offline play, private-game settings, and prerelease or non-Steam activity. The Store banner, mobile menus, and Steam Deck tabs are useful shortcuts, but the direct year-specific URL is the most reliable starting point.
